Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

Thanks for the reply I'm trying the port forwarding method but I'm having trouble logging in via using 192.168.1.1 and using my user and password.

Some Router's and Modems have dynamic IP's so, that is why you are most likely have problems with my method.

I think they told me to set up a user and password when I signed up for the internet service but I forgot and then went to their website to reset my password. So I go on 192.168.1.1 again and typing the user is fine but the problem is the password. When I type say 1 letter, 3 asteriks appear and such. Sometimes the number of asteriks increase or even decrease. I can never get my password that I setted via on my ISP's website in. I tried copying and pasting but it setted my password to 7 asteriks. Is it suppose to be like this cause I can't log in x-x

Edit: Scratch all that. New question. My ISP is a bit different I guess and it isn't as simple as your instructions.
To clarify, Protocol is UPD right?
Source port is 1100-11100?
Destination port is 11020?

Tell me if any of these are incorrect, I can't input the name Client.exe either which I hear doens't matter?

That's correct except it's "UDP" protocol, inputting client.exe doesn't matter, but it helps you reference it if you ever need to disable/change it for whatever reason in the future.

Yeah I did some editing before you replied. Anyways I heard I should get a static ip for port forward or I'd have to change it everyday or something?

And are you sure I should do 192.168.1.1? They give some ip address options such as my computer's ip address, user ip address(?), dell and such. ;o

Right click your internet icon, and click status. There should be a "support" tab, click it, and click details on the menu, a little window should pop up witb a bunch of numbers. The one that gives you youe WINS address, copy that number sequence into your browser url, and see if that procures more results.

Um, i think you got the wrong impression. I can already go on 192.168.1.1 on my browser after talking to my ISP. I'm asking if I should use that for the ip for portforwarding cause they already give me some ip address options such as my computer, user, dell, as said before.

You should use Port Fowarding on the computer you play mabinogi on. It doesn't help that much, but if you're really adamant about having it, you can do it on your computer.

I guess you don't know how ping works then. 100~1 ms is preferable when playing any online game. Anything above that, and you have to learn how to play with a slow connection.

I typically have 100-120, and I'm nearly lagless. 100-120 is good for VA connection.

Wireless typically has more.

Still, 100-120 is kind of bad for Cali.....

im at 180-210, which is good for someone in europe

i learned how to play with my lag, i might not be good in pvp and some multi-aggro situations due to that bit of lag (skills take just that tad bit longer to load, getting me killed) but i manage.

I just have a question about step 2 in #3, when you put in the password do add the "/" or just write admin. Moreover, can you change the password, because a friend of my did this for me when I was setting up my router, and I lost connection with him. Therefore, I have no way to get in right?

Nvm, it seems to be like 50~65 at nighttime...
Probably because my brother's on Facebook/Youtube all the time, and my mom's watching dramas and talking on skype during the day... lol

Well then I suggest you get a new router identical to the one you're using now if you can't get access.

Just type admin.

Very helpful guide. But you can also add defragmentation tutorials. this also helps to lessen the lag.

It has indeed apparently. However if you want to get rid of some lag heres a nice link.  http://halfslashed.com/tutorials/lag.html  This was made by Halfslashed, who rarely visits this site anymore.
