Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

For people having issues forwarding their ports try this site: http://portforward.com/ They have instructions for almost every router/modem possible. Just use a different game as a category if they don't have mabi, and replace the ports necessary. Methods should be the same.

Type 192.168.1.1 into your browser, leave the username box blank and admin as the password. Click the Applications and Gaming tab and then specify the ports you want forwarded. You will need your IP for this btw. The protocol is Both, and be sure to check the box under Enable.

Mabinogi official recommond MTU value is 597.
Did you change MTU value?

This will casting spell quickly and fix range attack bug.
Where exactly did you get that number from?

Well, the lowest possible MTU that works with Mabinoig without killing your netz, is 48. Which makes even the slowest computer comparable to some decent lagless people. But, you can't open stuff that uses online checking, books, housing, etc.

48 is reccomended for Arena and pvp. 512 is what I use for all around.

you didn't include the method to do it for vista and windows 7. On xp the lowered mtu users actually have a disadvantage because they have to change it in registry via a restart. On later windows you can change it back and forth with a bat file as much as possible without restarting your computer, all you have to do is cc and viola your lag is fixed, thus making it possible to make it very very low. Here's what do on win7 with a few clicks only--> open client first, lower mtu to 48, let client.exe estabish a connection with it, and change it back to 1500 (and no ccing or logging), and all the 48 mtu side effects are gone. You cannot do this on xp; it's not even possible to pass the hackshield check with 48mtu.

I wasn't asking for good numbers to have mtu at, I was asking where Logue read that the "Mabinogi official recommond MTU value is 597." It's not even an even number....

OK so i wanted to do this but I've had a hard time whit this because I'm not really handy whit computers and my computer isn't on the same language so i was wondering if you could tell me where to find a lag fix guide whit images or if you could add some if its not too much to ask.

Was pissed at my lag today, so came back to this thread o.o
^ You were talking about a bat file here, mind giving further explanation? I have win7 x64, though I'm guessing this bat file is the same as changing via command line, though w/o having to input that line that I never remember....
