Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

I pointed this out before but I guess Marck ignored me.

Anyway, TCPOptimizer's "optimal" setting disables Nagle, so to prevent anyone's confusion I think that the order in that the steps are given is changed so that TCPOptimizer is before the nagle algorithm fix, or that it should explained how to enable Nagel through TCPOptimizer

Not if you use the old version, this guide was written before the fail new version came out.

How is the newer version fail? I'm not doubting you I'm just curious to your reasoning.

Because alot of the settings mess up even when you set the values.

I'm glad mabi was down, I wouldn't have come back across this.  I had forgotten to do anything other than disable nagle on this computer.
Awesome guide Marck, thanks for this.
Just have one question though concerning the port forwarding.  I tried the admin/blank, blank/admin to no avail, thank god this thread is only 6 pages long, but if I'm understanding this right....it's a possibility of not being able to access it if you don't have the user/pw?
Wouldn't there be a way of calling the internet company and having them reset your user/pw?  Or does it deal with the actual router, using possibly numbers/letters on it?  Anyways, I tried you on skype but apparently you're sleeping/partying/"insert random fun thing"
Anyways, hope you're doing well and had a happy holiday

It's to do with the actual router,

You can find lists online for every model for every company with the ID and password., it lacks the newer ones usually though...

That link was actually broken, but I just googled netgear router password and it popped right up.  Thanks! xD

*for future visitors who use netgear routers the default user/pw is admin/password*

Well, it turns out I checked all the different sections on the router  page, but I couldn't find what Marck was talking about.  Although I found something I think might help too, QoS priority rule list.  I placed client.exe as high priority.  So far my comp hasn't blown up so I think I'm safe. (I hope so x.x)

I'm living in Florida and I've modded my computer countless times and I can probably help out, I've been complimented on my latency several times even though I'm running a dinosaur of a laptop with no grpahics card and Vista at that. I have my TCPOptimizer settings. I do want to state that the "Optimal" setting may actually be a drawback depending on what you've already editted within your RegEditor. The pictures below are my current settings, but of course messing with your MTU is advised since everyone's latency tends to be affected differently with everyone's locations. Also, Game Booster may be bashed by some people...but if you're running Vista or 7, it's a blessing.

I'll eventually add more to this post as I remember and find more quick fixes on beating that lag to a minimum.

Note: Hebona Robe is flashy Red/Purple, just sayin'

i'm not sure if someone already posted this or not but to me disabling nagle helps but what really helps is lowering your MTU.  You can go to this link from mabi wiki and it tells your in good detail exactly how to lower your MTU from your wired or wireless connection.

I did, but that is using the TCP Optimizer, which isn't my favorite just out of personal preference.  I just personally think its easier to do it from the command Prompt.

Average poster here doesn't know what the command prompt even is.

I agree that it's easier to use the CMD though, but most users are better off with the optimizer.
