Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

CS detects nothing with pake, I think that is Abyss does.
Of course, I basically do not agree to use pake, too.

Yea I knew you wouldn't do such a thing...I was just trying to point out how absurd the idea was.

What are the other patchers like Abyss? I want to see if it's just something with Abyss or if it's just my game, message me if it's private or something if you don't want it getting out. Thank you if you're generous enough to do this

Kirisame might work on NA... and mod_sharker does... but neither can really load by themselves, right now. Kirisame is a pake module, but sharker will be able to load on its own in the next version.

If some people can use mod_sharker and thy can't use Abyss, we obviously need to find the problem with Abyss and sort it out.

If you've read the last few pages you would have seen my problem.
I've been meaning to ask, could you possibly make a patcher which uses dsound.dll instead of ijl15.dll? I wanna test if it's just some weird problem with my client interacting with the specific file. I'm using an old Abyss and it still works, along with mod_sharker loading with it.

The issue with dsound is that is has a timing issue with the reading Data folder due to the way the client priorities DLLs, to combat this we have to go lower, and ijl15 is one of the dlls to be loaded very early, which makes patches more effective

Something is affecting all the texts it seems because when I went to exit the thing that pops up that says do you want to quit had no text on it so I had to force quit Mabi with task manager.
Rainbows are nice, but too much can make you sick D:<

I've had this problem with abyss before, it was a long time ago where it just wouldn't launch the game. I just had to wait for abyss to update and it worked again.

Make sure you're using the latest Abyss and the CS it comes with, and undo your data folder mods.

Nevermind. I reinstalled everything and Abyss and everything seems to be working fine now. Thankfully it only takes me like 20-30 minutes to do a clean install of Mabi :)

For future reference, if you've ever used the data packer, run it and tell it to undo mods, then move the /data/ folder outside of the mabinogi folder to make sure none of those replacements are being done.

It's exact as Step said. I'm wondering if there's a problem with the unpack detection.

I heard that Cakies's Force graphic card message patch, which was pretty much the first patch for mod_sharker actually helped and allowed the Data folder to be read

If that's the case blade, then isn't it possible to put the application on halt once client detects the dsound? Possibly like a "Sleep" function and stop the client from reading, Just to allocate enough time for the client to pick up on reading the data folder?

That last part is throwing me off. If you want it to stop when dsound is detected, can be done, but it won't help with data folder at all since it gets called too late. If you're saying stop the client until it loads dsound, that's not exactly possible.

The poor graphics alert appears before the data folder is read.

dsound is loaded before this, but perhaps that it is done in a thread? Either way, this allows enough of a delay while the user click Yes for Abyss to patch the data folder loading.

I, um, forgot how to read this thread, going through the junk and sorts, but try this, I had the same issue.

Try this, I had the same problem and this fixed it for me

On Windows 7:
Click the Start Orb
Right Click "Computer"
Click Properties
Click "Advanced system settings" on the left
Click "Settings" located in "Performance"
Click the "Data Execution Prevention" tab
Selection the "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select" radio button
Click "Add..."
Browse to your Mabinogi folder (Default: C:\Nexon\Mabinogi)
Choose "client.exe"
Click "Open"
Click "Apply"

Hi guys, uhm just wanted to ask how to get the font size larger or back to normal? I disabled the bitmap on abyss.ini and restarted Mabi. It doesn't seem to have changed anything..I tried quite a few times and the txt is still the same. Please help... ^^;?
