News

Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

Well, I'm having a bit of trouble with Frontend.
You see, I use to mod, but after a certain point I stopped playing mabi and just deleted my mods.  Now I want them back, but i'm not sure what patch system to use now, since Gerent has been discontinued.
I know this is probably the newbiest question ever, and i'm sure it's on this site somewhere and I've missed it, but help a guy out?

I thought reading the stickies in the client section was a requirement before posting in it?

Basically grab unofficial tiarra, that's as much as you're apparently going to get working.

data packer.exe can get frontend working too simply enough, and sinners and jinx though only uo tiara and frontend are currently being updated.

It is, but I'm not sure we've ever put really detailed information about it on the first posts... I'll go update my status headline in a minute...

Edit: Done, check my guide if you wish to see it.
It's near the top of my guide, and I have a sticky (thus, force read thread)

I thought pretty much the first page if not first post in most all the stickies mentioned patchers were broken. Even though it's just the method they used to bypass that is broken and not the patchers themselves. Though more and more things are being patched. That or the code has changed making how the patchers look for what to patch fail.

What is the difference between the two client.interface.txt files in "\local\code" and in "\code"?  Notepad++ is telling me there's a difference of a few lines, but I've edited just one (the \local\code file) and it shows up in my interface just fine.  Are there any notable differences in there, or is it redundancy and differences only a diff tool like WinMerge would realistically pick out?  I'd hate to make a bunch of nitpicky personal edits and not have them show up, but I'd also rather not use the same file in both locations if there are actual important differences.

Of course, it's possible I'm just being dumb about the whole thing.

It's not another bypass though, it's not a bypass at all. :)

Question:
How to fix CRT?
CRT's not broken. If it ever was, M$ will need to do a lot of explaining why threads can't be created.

The bypass is the CRC/CRT the patchers use.
Look up CreateRemoteThread if you want some info on it.

It's not broken, it works perfectly fine, it just needs a little help to keep itself hidden, that's all.

CreateRemoteThread: Creates a thread in another process's address space. It gets called by CreateThread with the process parameter as the current process, and calls CreateRemoteThreadEx if on Windows 7 with blank extended parameters

Firewood isn't loading into the handicraft window. Found out it was a data folder problem, any feasible way to fix this, or what exactly to remove?

First thought is production*.xml. If it's not that, try the other XMLs

Are going to update Tiara to the latest patch?

Or doesn't need an update?

since no files that uo tiara uses were updated there is no reason for it to be updated.

You could at least use mediafire to rename it so people wouldn't ask about it.

Saves a little time.

no, i don't release/rename for client versions that have no changes, but if they happen to sneak in some xml or .txt updates in r101 then i will or when i add or fix anything in the latest release then i'll release as r101.

Request ~

Any mods that reduce lag in Rundal?

And, any way to change the picture of the Imp when doing commerce? As well as changing what he writes each time?

I'm thinking about a Spice and Wolf sort of thing. Since the anime was about trading and commercing. ;o
See the thing is, like most opinions. Yours is wrong too.
