Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

Bandit Spotter
Bandit Ring by shanehu

They're not compatible with each other as is, but both have their uses.  Neither will save you if a bandit spawns on top of you, but with bandit spotter you can at least see bandits without having to be close to them.
Last i checked though, nexon has a bug where when you trigger a bandit spawn, any other "hiding bandits" within vision range do not display on your screen.  You trigger them still, but you can't see them.  So if you do trigger bandits using bandit spotter, i would advise changing channels.

Meaning you can't see/attack the bandits that spawn? (That has never happened to me, yet, at least.)
So if you do trigger bandits using bandit spotter, i would advise changing channels.
You can only log off now, no changing channels. And there is a penalty either way. It might be better to be ambushed than log off because ambushed goods are partially returned to you in ducat form via mail due to the wanted board.

Sorry for not clarifying.

The hiding bandits will not display properly, as in not rendering.  They are still there, they can still be triggered, but they are not detected by heartbeat and you won't know you're near one till you step in the region that triggers a spawn.

After triggering the spawn, the fight commences normally, meaning none of the bandits you fight are invisible.  You fight them, they try to steal your goods, etc.

So the only affected issue is the hiding bandits, and it's purely a visual problem for whoever triggers the spawn.

Hi. For some time I've been wanting to request help with the pet AI from this post. I did try to note the person who made it to request their help but they haven't logged on since January. I tried to follow the instructions given on changing the AI but whatever I did it didn't work.  :-\ I know the AI states it's a border collie but I tried to get it to work for all pets in general. The thing I was most interested in was to get the pet to heal immediately instead of walking up to you. So if it's not to bothersome, may I request instructions on what to do to get this AI to work for all pets?

Would moving the actions into the skill window be a xml or dll mod? (Or impossible?) You can map skills onto any key if you have it next to one of the 1-9s and have that tab open I tried editing skillinfo.xml but that didn't work.

Create a party, put it on the party board, and set the access restrictions.  Examples being production mastery must be r1+ or total level of 1k+, etc.

Unless i'm mistaken, there isn't an option to set a party restriction for carpentry.  Is there a file somewhere we can edit to change that?

It's probably:

data/DB/partyboardcategory.xml

language.pack/xml/partyboardcategorydescription.txt <- something like that. That's what it references when it says "xml.partyboardcategory.57]"

Does anyone have a lag-reducing mob for Belvast? Its lag is so much higher than either Tara or Avon...

If not, which files in the /data folder can I safely delete?

Find all the PMGs for the structures, then replace them with empty files, or simple cubes of the same size (if you want to know where they are.)

What do you mean by empty files?

Just create new PMG's?

Files that are empty..?

And yes, I'm pretty sure the client will PROBABLY expect PMG files.

You could just try making a txt file then renaming the extension to pmg or try using a wisp or invisible imp PMG.

Edit: What does the color parameter in the PMG Editor do? No, not ColorMap or TextureName, Color.

i have a request for someone who is decent enough at coding, and programming. Although im not sure if i have sufficent rights to request. Anyways my request is to have a program or tool developed to monitor all of the servers in real time. This tool would be Most Epic. Key word being real time. so it auto refreshes every 0.01 miliseconds. Please dont tell me to use the wiki because its tedious to keep refreshing the page just to monitor the servers.

Okay, a couple of things wrong here:

A: I'm not sure if you're aware, but 0.01 milliseconds is faster than any known network. If you had a tool that checked ANYTHING that frequently, it would basically be performing a DDoS attack.
B: The wiki's server statuses are updated by the server. So, what you want, has already been done.
C: You don't like clicking refresh..?  So....   https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/oilipfekkmncanaajkapbpancpelijih  ?

Could someone scale-up this font for me a few pixels?
I found it along some bitmap website, and although it does work in Mabi, it's incredibly small, as most bitmaps. I just want it a bit bigger.

and- Sorry in advance if I'm not exactly allowed to post links to other works.

So, I'm new here, hoping this is the right spot for my question. I'm just wondering if there is a list somewhere that defines what the pack files represent since their file names aren't all that helpful, for say items. Like http://mabimods.net/index.php?topic=1694.0 but not just for animations. I just want to pmg swap some weapons and pieces of clothing but have no idea on how to find what files represent them. x.x

To find out which items are what files use item.english.txt to look up the name of the item that's used ingame. Next to it will be a number code, search that number in race.xml. The pmg name should be in the same entry. Go to data/gfx/char. If you're looking for items released from generation 9 to 12, go to the chapter 3 folder. If you're looking for G13-16, go to the chapter 4 folder. If it's anything released in G8 or before, just skip this step. Then go to either the Human or Giant folder. (Very few items are Elf-only.) Afterwards, obviously male or female... Then:
For gloves look in gloves...
For hats look in helmet.
For robes look in mantle.
For shoes look in shoes...
For clothing and armor look in wear.

Look for the the item in corresponding folder and you get it from here.
What does the color parameter in the PMG Editor do? No, not ColorMap or TextureName, Color.
Bump...
