News

Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

http://zermoth.net/mabinogi/ost/?lang=en
It actually lists the songs with a link beside them to download.  It does however, update to include some of the songs that are not released to the US yet.  At the moment, it has a zero hour update for the log-in screen, for example.
http://zermoth.net/mabinogi/ost/?lang=en
First link in google.
Still lacks some files, but you can ask for them.

Boy, I feel dumb now; I already knew about that site, I just wasn't thinking about it in the context of replacing one song at a time, just "HURF GET ENTIRE OST."  Augh.  Oh well, it's nice to have several sources depending on exactly how much you want replaced.  Thanks to all.

Edit: And now I think I remember what I was originally getting at with wanting a Nexon source - I wanted to have the option to compare (via checksum) the currently used song to what it's supposed to be, so I could implement some kind of user-friendly notice that something's changed, without having to open the file in a media player.  Although, given multiple sources (and multiple client versions/locales), I'm not too optimistic.  I'll have to do some digging.

Not sure if it's currently possible... can I request a mod that reloads /data/ mods (especially the xml) without restarting the game client? :>

Is it possible to make it so 'combat mode' will not turn itself off?

May sound silly, but randomly during combat, i have my combat mode turn itself off and it gets extremely annoying.  In some cases it gets me hit, other times it just makes me unable to use a skill at the desired time.  Example being, smash or flash launch a mob away then try to follow up with assault slash.  Instead of using the skill, combat mode turns off immediately after the first skill connects.  So you're no longer locked on to the target/no target for the skill, and you just stand there.  Similar goes for bullet slide.

Quote from: Blade3575
Code: [Select]
;Stops you from exiting Combat Mode automatically.
NoCombatTimeout=0
Call it paraphrasing since that's not an exact quote, but there's my answer.

I'm not 'xactly sure where to place this request.
I've found that I'm using the secondary tab more and more and switching between skillplacements a ton now.
Except I still use ctrl-lock, meaning it switches tabs, and much to my chagrin, DISABLES using the secondary tab even when I've moved switch tabs from ctrl+# to shift+#.
Simply put, How to "enable" the secondary tab even when ctrl/ctrl+lock is enabled in mabi.
I don't know how to approach this myself, theoretically nor actually in modding itself.

Tried asking in the Abyss thread and just was ignored (likely because the solution to my problem is painfully obvious to everyone else) but I figured I'd try again here in the question and request thread:

I cannot log in at all. I can't even successfully launch the game. Here is the little error prompt thing that comes up whenever I try to log in. I have no idea how to read it or make use of what it says (if it says anything at all).

I had Frontend, Abyss, and UO Tiara. I uninstalled and removed all of them. Tried removing the registry key and data folder from my Nexon/Mabi folder and putting in a clean ijl file...

I did a clean install and I STILL can't launch the game.

I assume I need to go into my actual computer registry to fix whatever is broken but I don't know which thing in the message is the one I need to address, or even how to FIND it when in the registry? If that isn't the case I have no idea what I actually need to do.

I am aware the game also updated to R169 so the 168 patch isn't the current one but I need to know what needs to go in order to make a clean client run.

If someone would be kind and patient enough to answer my request (even if it is painfully stupid to everyone else) I'd appreciate it. If I knew what the problem were, then I wouldn't ask. If someone doesn't even want to answer but could point me in the direction of whatever modding guide/post/faq I could find an answer in, that is also perfectly fine. Thanks.

Hello,

I've seen (and used) the HD textures mod and I really enjoy it but I wonder if anyone has any information about something better being released? I would love to see a client-side overhaul of textures and sounds, something to really test the limits of modern custom computers while still playing Mabinogi. I would appreciate any and all information (and screen shots too if any exist) of any extreme quality graphics mods available other than what's already been posted here.

In the mean time I will take a crack at it (though on my own I imagine it's going to take quite some time to retexture all of mabinogi...)

Thanks in advance~!

idk if this has been already requested but
i would like to request a mod that takes out the item description like on weapons and gear so people will be allowed to see the reforges on their gear
if that is possible, thatd be cool (:

if your refering to:

You mean to remove an entire section of the item details (includes Dura, Description, so on)?
I believe that would be possible, but I haven't looked deep enough into modding to see if that's a simple thing to do or not-- might check it out when I have time.

Think they mean how sometimes the screen isn't big enough to fit all the item details, to where you can hardly see the first reforge line.

As for my help request:
Yet another one that's probably right in my face; I'm looking for the Wing Bow PMG, but can't seem to find any names relating to it. If anyone could let me know its exact name or location that'd be much appreciated :x

use itemdb.xml to find the name of the item and scroll right to find the mesh name, then use a search filter on an extracted full.pack data folder

Why would it be a risky mod?

it in itself is not really except if you post your screen shots on nexon forums, but the file it uses also enables the visual chat and it is a risky mod.

Would it be possible to separate the two? For instance, have one that includes Reforge tooltips, another that has visual chat, and another that combines the two.

it's not something i felt like doing each update, considering how many mods uo tiara uses that i want to do that with, but soon i will be having too anyway due to a new project so yea.

I have a kinda complicated request that I've been wondering if it can even be implement via a mod or some kind of *.dll hook
it's adding the non-standard 16:9 resolutions like 800x480, 1024x600 (a.k.a  Notebook rez) 1280x600 etc,.
There is a fine line between being smart and being stupid. I find that many people choose not to be smart

Define numerically.
Afaik, there's nothing stored in the client indicating how deeply you are potion poisoned. Everything is sent from the server.

I was thinking something like how CP is displayed, or hook it to a value in the character window?

That's possible because cp is stored in the client during runtime.

The client does hold some info on how the potion poisoning is affecting you, but it seems that it's mostly related to the damage to your stats, which you can see in your character window anyways once it gets bad enough.

Code: [Select]
PoisonBase
 PoisonMod
 PoisonImmuneBase
 PoisonImmuneMod
 PoisonDamageRatio1
 PoisonDamageRatio2
 toxicStr
 toxicInt
 toxicDex
 toxicWill
 toxicLuck

I've yet to really figure out what's what other than the toxic(x) things, I haven't gotten this far down the list in stats mapping yet, keep getting distracted.
