This is an updated and maintained version from this
postSeveral of the mods clashed with newer updates, including invisible skill icons, no textures on certain pets, and more. This update rebuilds the entire HD mod, keeping what works and fixing what doesn't.
I will be releasing the update one pack at a time, striving to keep the file size down to as small as possible. I will release a data folder version and a .pack version. Note: If you are using any of the old HD mods, remove them entirely before installing. I can't guarantee there won't be conflicts otherwise.

If you are using the data folder version do this:
1:Download the desired files (will be in .rar format, which you will need
7zip or
winrar to extract.
2:Extract the .rar to your mabinogi folder (if done properly, you should just have a data folder in your mabi folder, if you see tons of new ones, you may have borked something)
3:Run data packer or your chosen packing method
If you are using the .pack method, follow this closely
1:Download the desired files (will be in .rar format, which you will need
7zip or
winrar to extract.
2:Extract the files, and you should have .pack files
3:copy these to X:\nexon\mabinogi\package (you should see numerous other .pack files)
4:right click all of the mods you added and turn them to read-only.
If you do not click read-only, they will be deleted when you launch mabinogi, UNLESS you always use a 3rd-party launcher or use the direct launch shortcutAlso; when the .pack file is used, if it is in read-only mode, the data packer will NOT overwrite the contents of these files, any of their contents will dominate. To bypass this, turn off read-only mode until after using datapacker (both to enable and remove mods) and then change it to read-only before launching the game.

NPC_HD - Version 1.0(9/13/13), Enhances the sharpness, saturation and contrast of all NPC portraits, including Spirit Weapons.
Water HD - Version 1.0 (9/13/13), This mod updates the layers and filters for weather effects such as sandstorms, lighting effects, 2D land decorations, and most importantly, water textures and lighting.
Monsters HD - Version 1.0 (9/29/13) This mod sharpens the details of meshes for monsters, as well as smoothing out jagged edges on older monsters.
HD Icons - r232 (7/21/16), This mod enhances all of the skill, action, and persona icons, as well as the collection journal icons on the character window.
As of the latest update and name change, commerce items, NPC icons, Reward Popups, transformation icons, monster icons, and talent icons are also improved.

Note: I take no credit for the original, only for repacking and maintaining this mod. Any new games files (such as new NPC portraits) will be made to match the standards set by the original HD mod to the best of my ability.
I decided to keep the files in pieces both for file size, ease of updating, and so people can choose what they want.
