Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

I never understood why clothes are gender locked in this game

Pretty much the only reason why I mod. (Other than fixing lag.) It's looks so cute.

Remember when you could wear whatever you wanted? Well, at least with basic premium wear, you can wear female versions as a male and male versions as a female. Otherwise, they at least made the special character card clothing genderless and gave it a slightly different model depending on who wore it.

Yeah, male humans can wear the beginner human skirts.  Look awful creepy doing it, but yeah.

I'd say it saved designers effort/time to just make it gender specific, and it seemed less creepy with a lot of guys with dresses running around.  Ignoring the trap fact, mabi has plenty of that.  It's also probably the reason giants have less fashion stuff than humans/elves, due to model difference and designers just not wanting to put in the effort.

"I never understood why clothes are gender locked"

Because they're separate meshes for male/female/giant male/giant female, and sometimes (pretty much all the time), it doesn't warrant the effort of making a mesh with/without THOSE ROUND THINGS ON A WOMAN'S CHEST (Seriously, what other terms are censored..?), or hugeified for giants.

Shhh. Let me have my fun. And anyways, nothing wrong with a flat-chested woman. All the male clothing I've put on female characters have looked perfect anyways.
