Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

Anyone got anything that reduces the lag in Avon? I can't seem to find anything...

I'm sure there's something in UT.
Turn off Water Reflection and Alpha Fog.
...
And glow effect.

Considering you don't have something along the lines of an integrated graphics card or low-end graphics card, it doesn't lag.

Before Avon, it was Falias.
Avon does lag considerably, without any normal graphics lag fixes.
I lag much less when I turn off Water Detail, or whatever it's called.

To help OP, all I have to say is, get a new computer. Or an upgrade.

Find the .dds files that control textures in avon, use resize image to 5-10% of original size, put back in data folder.

If you don't know how to do this, learn how to. This will decrease a lot of lag in any area.

KISS, Keep it simple stupid.  That's the approach you need to take with questions like this.  If someone can't figure out how to cope with a simple error, we need not fill their head with any information.  It's a waste to do so.

No lag in Avon, or Falias, using an intergrated graphics card.  Derp.

It's not just graphics card...it also matters what cpu you have and whether or not you have windows 7/vista/xp.
And with the first two whether Aero is turned on or off. My laptop has a better cpu but integrated and it's on xp, so it runs mabi on higher settings than my desktop does even though mabi itself says it shouldn't be able to run it.
Just set reflection to nonexistent, fully display only your character for demigod-mode, etc. That should eliminate most lag.
Also the dds fix that one guy said REALLY helps.
Been around forever, but never post! 8D
Just lurk

I don't lag anywhere besides going to Tara or going in sms. I didn't even lag before trying the nagle disable but in any terms I guess turning off most of the effects would do the most for now.
