So i was wondering, uhm this is in g16s1 but i opened the skillinfo and i did the unlimited healer thing, but as i was scrolling up something caught my attention, it was lightning bolt so i thought and changed the range to 99999 but i went in the game (after data packer) and i go to my skills and all my fighter skills were gone but as a i go to the non gained skill tabs i scroll down and i see all the skills on mabi even pet ones , one of them was berserker. Any idea of what this could be? or if changing the range to lighting bolt even works

mm, i'd say you're not telling us everything.  You claim to have done the unlimited healer (which i believe got patched) and tried to get unlimited LB range.  From that alone, you should either A)Expect the appropriate changes, increased range, B)Hackshield to catch you or client to crash, cuz you did something wrong, or C)No difference because the info is server sided.  And as i said, i personally expect C.


Moving on to what i would assume is the issue, you edited the values for whether the skills are hidden or not, or you downloaded someone else's skill file and they did it.  Best solution imo, delete the whole file.  If you want a change, i'd just recommend going in and manually changing the value.  Only thing i ever change in skill is LB timeout and bot bomb range.  From what you said previously, you should have the knowledge to know how to do this.

I think all the unlimited range edits are patched except maybe Charge/Lance Charge (Although you can target unlimited range, you can only 'run' the appropriate distance of rank) and, if you find fun and the need for unlimited range, bot bombing. Charge is good for moving around without mounts for people who can't/don't buy NX.
The only other useful client-sided edit would be the lightningbolt timeout removal which fl0rn mentioned.

Ik now that healer doesnt work, but idk why everything else went crazy for example i did this myself i opened pack 95_99 and i took the skillinfo from there put it into data/db/skill
and i only edited lightningbolt range which defult was 1200 so i raised it to 3000 and saved it and put it into my data/db/skill and i go in game and its like i went back generations.

that's because you should be using r107 or r108 which is the latest skillinfo.xml

Okay thx and I was wondering while i was looking threw pack 95_99 i noticed that berserker is there and in 107_108 its not if i fill it in with the skillinfo from berserker skill which was patched long time ago if it would work. (if hackshield detects it, can i use crackshield?)

there's a simplier way to mod the client... without any of the tools listened here..
kinda i just create up a .pack file and add it up with my modified files after the launcher check up and it runs perfectly, even more stable than make the client read the data folder    but that's me, i only mod my taiwanese client for translations proposes xP , so in fact i do replace the original language.pack with a modified one which contains, also, few xml edits within it.

This has not been updated, since we gained the ability to do such a thing.

I probably won't be updating to include that either, I plan to keep it at a more basic level, with the exception of any patcher information.
