... Is there ever going to be a way to get DLL mods back?
I'm not sure whether devcat has some sort of personal vendetta against us for the evuls, or if it is just Nexon telling them to do it... but it is pretty sh|tty of them to just arbitrarily lock us out of the fun stuff like that.  =(

People still have working mods[I'm sure of it], but they use methods they wont give out in detail.

Basically until someone decides to be nice and tell someone else how to do it, or possibly release it themselves. We wont have anything besides datapacker.

2)  Don't be dodging the chat filter we have here.
3)  Turning off the email notifications DOES NOT STOP THE SPAM!  I don't even check my emails to begin with.
4)  So you think it's unfair a company wants to remove something that allows certain people to have infinite hp (god mode) and unlimited skill use?

I already have this "Do not use Gerentxparty, Rhapsody, JAP, or anything other mod that contains a ".dll" files. These are all currently broken, we will update our threads when something is repaired.  Please be patient."

Frontend is data. So yes...

Right now, your better off NOT using frontend, just download the mods off the file section(same ones frontend uses) put them in the data folder, data pack 'em up, and go.

It's that extra step, that makes frontend not such a great option right now.
Once we get a dll version of read from data, instead of the data packer, frontend will be a wonderful thing again.

Each section, divided by the break, is for something different.
However... Anything that ADDS a mod, you are required to data pack it, as shown in the part for setting up the new mods.  This includes the PMG swap (Making x look like y)

If it's REMOVING mods, it does not require that step.  Like replacing dlx's and dll's.

I probably would have done so already if I thought I could, mind you... Sucks to be me, I guess.
Honestly, I'd pay for such things if I reckoned there was a legitimate means for me to do so, as I don't have the free time, the skill nor the comp-power to figure it out myself. Last time I tried, my computer seized up for hours. Not fun.

Not saying it'll stop it, but every little helps. Isn't like the notifications are that useful anyway.

On the grounds that I consider all PvP stuff to be pissy playground games of zero consequence... yeah, I consider it just petty spite on the part of Nexon / devcat. Not that apparently they're actually stopping such things, so much as forcing folks to get creative (and restrictive) about 'em.

Cos as it stands I don't know squat about DLL stuff. All I'm good for is graphical stuff.

I am making a patcher myself, learning as I go pretty much. I am no where near skilled enough to be of any help to the ones who are making theirs.

My way of helping is helping people who can't, do what I can.
So you say, in your case, that'd be visuals.  Why not lend a hand to that guy trying to edit the visuals in the wine making game?
Make an interface for us all that looks epic?

If you can't help the big shots, help the small people, one less thing the mods have to worry themselves over, take a look around, lots of crap happening, skitty's just banned some guy, I just sort of started a fight (yes, I know, I'm not a mod, but it makes my point)

All you complainers can live for a few weeks without CP mods. >.> I dont use CP mods at all and I play just fine. If its really that important, learn to code and contribute to finding how to fix them.
