Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

Modded pet size scaling?
« on: April 07, 2011, 12:54:18 pm »
Well uh, I wasn't sure if this belonged in Pet Discussion or Tech Support, hopefully this is the right section for it.

Anyway, I recently got kinda bored and decided to make a new character. First thing I do is mod a new pet along with it.

I turned my Falcon into a Banshee through XML edits. It has the Lich framework (and animations) since the male/female frameworks didn't have it appear properly, undoubtedly from not enough bones or what ever. (Doesn't know much about that part of modding)

Anyway, my question is if it were possible to scale down the pet, since the Banshee's kinda big. Or is the only way to do this by editing the Lich framework?

That would defiantly be an interesting thing to have. I've often wished some of my pets were bigger or smaller. I really wish my griffin was bigger and more imposing, being able to have size differences among the different pet types would be a fantastic, if difficult, modification.

I believe the only way would be to modify the .pmg, but this might entail modifying all the .ani's and such to make it fit.

I think rescaling the .frm would be overly complicated, as far as I know no one has even found a way to resize the .frm, only edit the .pmg.

so it is not impossible to resize the pet, but lets say someone was going to do it.

Can I just put "idle rest" animation for everything? Yes it would look very strange but I think it would come in handy for resizing a pet only because I find it hard to right click the pet when they are the size of a potato.
