News

Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

the memory address's also get changed, and hackshield has interfered with the timing in which you hook or apply a patch so i still think all three things contribute.

and its more then just the patcher that needs fixed but the methods as well unless you have a hackshield bypass.

and if you turn your attention to the red letters <.< over there you can see none of the standard public patchers are working atm.

CRC bypass doesn't work for it, I've tested that out.

None of them work, so you should fix up another with a pretty good patcher, just needs fixed :I

yea guess the crc bypass is confirmed to work with inject-able patches and not hooking, and of coarse there are people working on new patching methods; i'm not one of them and who knows when/if it will be publicly released.

The memory addresses change every patch, but because of the "code searching" functionality of patchers, most patches don't get broken. Hackshield can't interfere with the timing in when the patch is applied because for Gerent, they get applied on the library load, and for my patcher, gets applied on ESL.dll startup, which both happen before HS loads

so then what causes hackshield to detect while in game after the patches have been applied; is it just late on noticing the change?

Hackshield has this thing called a "Heartbeat". The heartbeat comes once in a while (I don't know the exact time) and for each heartbeat, the ".text" sections (The executable code part) of the modules in the game are checked for modifications. Also in the heartbeat, it also checks for hacking tools and anything else that gets detected by HS

Because of this heartbeat, mods will only get detected when HS goes through one, and the first one is usually around 1~5mins from when the game starts

Fix the skill window open/close lag? Chat box and whatnot is fixed in Unofficial Tiara but the skill window lags it all now.

Get a new font.

Control Panel > Font > Find any .ttf font you like.
Rename to alphanumeric, place in font folder, in your data folder.

The font, is the reason you lag when you open a window, don't like it? Just get a new font, that's really all it is.

Some lag like a female dog (lol at default) some are totally smooth when you open stuff.

Ohhhh okay, will do.

Which font does the gerent mods use? Also my computer apparently doesn't have any fonts according to my empty control panel window.

Gerent uses bitmap fonts, as of now, you CAN NOT use this.
We had a long discussion on it elsewhere, until we get our patches back up, this is dead.

I recommend you, bus accident font.  Do some googlin', it ain't that hard to find.
I think we may have it on mabimods even.

It doesn't matter whether it is an hooked patcher or an injected patcher, it all boils down to the same code. The closest I've gotten to the CRC bypass is similar to Tylian's method of running TerminateThread on the second thread that EhSvc.dll starts after a period of time

Alright, so i have Unofficial Tiara Moonshine G14~ Works nicely.

Anyone want to lead me in the right direction to get other additions that'll improve my performance? Lag-wise.

Primarily the Elf-Lag Fix when firing a bow. (not sure if thats possible anymore)

Pretty much looking for anything that'll reduce lag. There is a couple topics about lag reduction but not entirely sure if those work anymore since G14.

Can anyone point me on what to obtain to get the lag monster off me? (:

Kthx~ *cartwheels away*

Go to the MNG thread and download the 3 files. Then follow the instructions from there. I suffer from "elf lag" as well. Mine is so bad sometimes that I don't even bother playing. This patcher has pretty much everything you need.
Just make sure once you copy the files into your mabinogi directory you open the MNG file with notepad(or another text editor) and change the mod you want from "0" to "1".
I would post the link but I'm currently on my phone. It's around the top of the client modifications section.

Go to here

http://mabimods.net/index.php/topic,4668.0.html

Download his Pack and install to your

DESKTOP

Once you do that go into your new mabinogi folder (the one you installed) and copy the Material folder (I'm assuming you know the basics of how to mod right?) and replace it with your old Material folder. On a side note don't forget to use data packer.

so uhhh. . . two questions.
1.) are any of the mods working? (cause I have tiara tho it seems like it needs another mod to work. ^^;)
and
2.) if any are up and running, can someone tell me the url so I can download it?
sorry if this seems like a dumb question, tho I'm still sorta getting used to being here. ^^;

As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land, and then it dies.
However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns. Today, is that day. . .

1 A: You didn't search or read anything on this entire forum have you? Try it.

2 A: Use the search button, or for the love of God go to the MNG thread, which even has a sticky.

3 Advice: Don't ask questions that you can easily find out yourself.

1. Yes mods are working. For Tiara, you still need to use the DATA Packer located in the files section. You can use our newest patcher MNG for your basic modding needs. Simply place all of the 3 things from the mediafire into your root Mabinogi folder.

2. No you will not get links. The reason is because you can easily search this. MNG is also in this very section. A helpful hint, always check the first posts of patchers and Tiara for updated info and links for downloads. Congrats, your on your own unless its actual questions pertaining to modifications and not asking for links or other such nonsense.
