News

Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

HI ALL
(Request (more directed to TheProffessor for frontend but would also be nice with others))
Unlimited autoproduction mod
You know how autoproduction caps the number of tries it does at 10? well it would be nice to have this increased to 1000. I don't know if this is possible, but it would be very useful.

Very simple .xml mod does that.

KISS, Keep it simple stupid.  That's the approach you need to take with questions like this.  If someone can't figure out how to cope with a simple error, we need not fill their head with any information.  It's a waste to do so.

Hi everyone~ :3

I know that there's a exploration percentage mod, and I know that the older versions of Fantasia has them. Is there a way to implement that into Tiara/nogiparty?

I hate to say this but one post accounts get ignored for requests and such.

On the positive side I can ask nicely for the % exploration display and maybe someone might share the information either openly or privately.
(yes I do know how to do some basic editing but I always loose track of what pointed to where whenever I attempt to trace a function)

Thank you for the reply. I really do appreciate it. And I usually don't post here because I don't know how to exactly edit the mods myself. Otherwise, I could. ;] I had asked my boyfriend to see if it was possible to do it myself, but, he said it wasn't. I'm not sure how exactly Tiara+nogiparty works.

On the positive note, I will be waiting for more replies about this situation. Thank you very much for your help Thrudd!

The recipes are server sided else we would have a lot of master chefs running around with no clue on what they are doing as opposed to a lot of cooks running around with no clue to what they are doing.

Is there a Falias with low texture mod? The FPS tends to decrease often since it's so detailed.

Please and thank you if there is one. ;)

Since I want to take out the walls in tara, I'm just confused on how I should do it.
I read somewhere that I basically use the pmg editor (which I have working but i'm trying to figure out how to use it) to make the colors of the wall transparent but will that decrease the lag?

I've spent a hour reading guides (such as modding for dummies, how to use the pmg editor, etc.) and searching for the answer but I'm new to modding so can someone clarify what I should do? Thanks!

Sorry people, but I don't think I can understand what mods really are even if I read them.
I've tried to understand what they are but, no luck. I've tried to read them over and over again, but, same thing happened. I can't understand what they really are and what they do.
For example, what's tiara? What does it do? Sorry if I asked another dumb question. I'm new to this so I wouldn't know. My friends in Mabi said that I can get the mods here. But I don't know which one to download.  :-\ Just a simple answer would be nice. Sorry and thanks.

Alright, heres an explanation:

Mods are basically changes to the coding of small things in Mabinogi, the .dlls first. The .dlls are written in C++, a programming language. Mods alter those in order to let you do different things than what Nexon/devCat originally made. Then theres the data folder. The data folder is modeled after the REAL data folder (the package files), and lets you replace stuff in the REAL ones with ones in the data folder.

Mods currently available: Gerent (has a data folder similar to Tiara R69), Stand-alone Nogiparty(no data folder), Tiara R69 (has a data folder for reducing lag), Frontend (Has ALOT of mods, and little customization)

In other words.
Mods change codes, that make it so you can have custom content.
Data folder is where you put your custom stuff.
Tiara and Gerent are best, in my opinion.

Are there any guides out there to making minor client modifications? I don't mean PMG swaps though, more of adding an item/option to a menu or window that wasn't previously implemented.

Similar to the ping display on the menu, as far as adding something goes.
