Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

1 - The UI is a bunch of 3D elements, especially when it comes to items.
2 - Things like the inventory are hardcoded into the client.
3 - As far as I know there has never been any point at all where it's been scaled, ever.

So anything to do so would be a bunch of custom assembly in the client and nobody I know is up to this task (either in skills or in effort).

Reduced lag is nice but hard to read text is not.

Wondering if there was a way to label your bags? Like change the name "Bag" to something else while it was tabbed? Ive got 14 bags and its a pain to keep things organized and keep screen space if theyre all opened. Tried using the tags but since they dont show when the bag is tabbed it kinda defeats the purpose.

What Relinos needs is a way to change multiple bag types to separate bag names, using that method will still just make all the bags the same name, their are a few different bag titles in interface.english.txt, but not 14 different one's and if they all use a title from interface.english.txt then no matter what their is no way of separating them from within interface.english.txt alone unless they get the window title of the bag name from the item name of the bag, in which case you could use itemdb.english.txt and change "Item Bag" to whatever kind of bag it is considering their is 46 occurences of "Item Bag" and more that are individually named i'm sure, which may only effect the name as it appears in the inventory and on the ground, which would also not solve the problem, but it could be possible to change the method in which the window title of the bags name themselves get from interface.english.txt into itemdb.english.txt by it's individual TextName0 ItemID which would probably be a window/theme layout.xml by redirecting the xml/txt in which it gets its text.

itemdb.english.txt (example of multiple bag names by xml itemid)

It'll only change them in the inventory if you use itemdb, you have to use interface to change the labels.
AFAIK, there's no way to rename "Bag" to multiple different entries, since they all use the same one.

At the very least, if you're using different types of bags, such as various dolls, you could swap the item's image to something more obvious to what's inside that specific bag.

it is possible to replicate some things that abyss does in ce, if it were open source, but it is not, and no it can't be placed in a .pack, it doesn't work that way.
you can find cutscene skip in uo tiara (added multiclient last version, but has to be packed to get it working) and multiclient is in poison pack (currently not working per file features.xml.compiled needing updated), and no to the bitmaps as well since that would also mean making it open source.
though there are other outdated patchers that are open source so someone inclined enough could still make such mods with CE if they were good enough, but unlikely and either way you would still have to wait quite some time.

To clarify why, Abyss is code patch mods.  Not resource editing/replacement mods.

Some types of modifications show up both ways because some can be done both ways.  For example you could edit a file so all of a specific value is 3, or Abyss could patch the code that reads that value to make it think they're all 3 (which has the same effect in practice).  However many things cannot be done through data folder mods, mainly engine behavior changes.

What this program does is it can automatically maximize or borderless fullscreen games that are in windowed mode. For Mabinogi you can do the following.


Select Mabinogi [Client] and click the > arrow (this enables automatic processing and saved settings for this process
This will default to borderless fullscreen. If you'd prefer to have auto-maximizing instead, right click Mabinogi [Max] on the right side, click No Size change, then right click again and click "Set Window Size" Then click no, 0, 0, your screen width, and then your screen height (minus the taskbar at the bottom)


If done correctly, the right side should say "Mabinogi [0,0- Xres,Yres]". For example, a 1920x1080 display would be 0,0-1920,1050.


Notes: This can be used as an alternative to Abyss' function to handle window position and auto-maximizing, however this *will* hide the titlebar. You can reveal it by selecting Mabinogi[Client] and then clicking the inward facing arrows. (outward facing will force-process the settings for that application, if automatic doesn't)

Just a note: If anyone else is going to use this, you'll need to modify the values of WinMove.

A better way of going about it is using the @ macros they provide in AutoIt to get the size of the desktop; then using percentages based on Mabi and the desktop to move it. That way it would work for anyone without needing to be modified.

I'm a bit confused, how do you find the memory addresses to search for and to replace with? I wanted to try and make some for myself for curiosity. But don't know how to find/tools to use.

Autobot has also done this for years, and gotten exact percentages based off of mabinogi class name and window caption, for it is to be done with multiclienting, but atm i believe Autobot is being detected again either by folder structure or filename, i'm not yet sure.

I'm having some issues with the FSN Doll bags. While summoned, the client's memory spikes from 1.7m~ to 2m+ and I get 2-3 seconds of latency delay on basically everything. I've tried a doll bag removal pack, but it hasn't made a noticeable impact. Anyone else facing similar issues, or have potential fixes?

Is it possible to modify the Automatic Weapon Switch conditions through XML? Celtic Guardian Staff doesn't automatically switch when I use party healing, saying I need a healing wand, even though it is one.

You can't use it to equip dual wield or two accessories.  :-\

Not a huge inconvenience, but would be nice during equipment swap between battles for those of us who utilize multiple gear sets.
