I was just wondering if there was a way to make the font bigger in mabi because the default is way to tiny when playing the game @ 1080p/1080i

I don't see why it can't be a thing, but I can certainly see how it is likely to be a thousand times more complicated than it should be...

agreed but then we already know Nexon like to complicate things anyway :-D. But on a side note how would i go about doing this?

Through the game, I imagine you would need a patcher to force the large and/or TTF tags onto all dialog. I have very high doubts it's possible via data edits, and decent doubts about a patcher doing it even... I recommend visiting the mod sharker thread, and see if those folks can dig something up.

Also, I only ever set my DPI to 132%, so I'm not sure if it actually effects things such as font sizes within the client... But hey, another thing I can mention about font sizes.

To all who post in this thread i am looking for a way to make the font larger in-game specifically for rez's above 1600x900 cause the font is way too tiny to even read it occasionally make me have headache's when i'm playing the game @ 1080p/1080i resolution, thx in advance.

well i have my DPI set to 125% and it does help windows but nothing happened in mabi when i did it and the bitmap in abyss is even worse makes the font smaller than subscript. On a side note what folder would i need in a data folder to do custom fonts?

You'd use the font folder, I think it's data/gfx/font? I'm not totally sure, it's been awhile...
This part of your request is the easy part. Opposed to resolutions.

Correct me I'd I'm wrong but for mabi wouldn't the font size be more of a factor of the display size than the resolution?

You could try using a custom font instead of bitmap... I don't know though, I have no problem reading bitmap on my 1920x1080 screen, but it is a 26 inch screen.

replacing the font with a larger ttf font would be easiest way, it would take forever to add '<ttfenglish size=???>' to every word of every data\xml\ text file and i don't think the bitmap mod in patchers affect every dialog.
maybe step29 will get the time and or motivation for this someday.

It seems the bandit border mod in the mediafire link here http://mabimods.net/index.php?topic=14652.0 is broken (clicking download leads to broken page). (Not sure if it's just me or not btw)

Anyone know of any other bandit detecting/border mods, or have this mod in a different download? Thanks.

is it possible to customize the command for summoning pets in game such as, "summon {pet name}!" ?

i was hoping to shorten it to like "s {pet name}!" just so it is easier to summon pets in game since i am running out of hotkeys for my pets.

No, that is a permission granted to us by the server, in Mabi to start a server command you do "! -insert text-"

Or in this case, "-Text-!"

It isn't changeable since it is a engine related thing, not a game related thing.

Any tutorials on how to make visual mods? I know how to find .dds files / extract them but what if I want to replace one .dds with another .dds? Also does anyone know where to find the bhafel huntress in the pack files? I can't seem to find it lol.

#1)I am not Sure if anyone asked this but what is the name of the files that edit tara's town buildings etc I tried to avoid it during installation but i seem to have missed it.

#2)What dose the one click revive 1 and 2 do?. i understand that it has to do with reviving but curious about it. i would like to know before i add it.
