News

Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

Don't get coil whine, or if i do it's not severe enough to be heard over fans/other background noise.

It's also one of those noises that unless i'm having a bad day/headache, i'd block it out without even realizing it.

It's always Mabinogi for me. I tried other parts to see if it would fix the issue. :(

I dunno why but mabi has always been bad with coil whine, particularly in more GPU intensive areas aka Tara.

What bug report do you have and what mods do you have? Tiara, Abyss?

Okay.. so I've looked all over Mabimods and other modding sites that I probably shouldn't post here looking for a working mod that allows me to see Bandits on the minimap. Granted, I've downloaded a few but, they apparently don't work anymore. I know a friend who has this particular mod but, he also uses the "unholy mod" (If you know what I mean). Is the Bandit Mini map only a part of the "Unholy mod" or is it working somewhere else because I can't get any of it to work :/

I've seen it working with an unmentionable mod.  I would advise sending blade a msg and see if it's compatible with abyss.  Work it out in private before going public, in case it could cause complications or access to other shady modding.

It's one of those things that's a lot easier with reading packets. Not that it's impossible otherwise. I personally don't feel like expending that kind of effort on one mod for now, though. (I already have a backlist!)

Stupid question.
Is fastcooking even a possibility anymore, has it fallen off the edge of the world, never to be seen again.
I haven't seen it after gerent stopped updating, and all mods save data packer were broke.

Would an edit to remove the Vocaloid logos from the (current) event t-shirts be worthwhile to post?  The actual process of editing was simple enough, but it was in an odd place (somewhere in \material instead of the shirt model itself).  I ask because it's kind of a picky vanity edit, rather than doing something original with it.  Maybe just in the files section instead of a skin mods post?

Running multi for a shop account and ran into the problem of getting logged out after inactivity for so long. Is there a way around this? I've seen people say they afk an account for shops, but how do you stay logged in? Anyone got any neat suggestions or obvious fixes I'm missing?

Would it be possible to make it so that when the 'something is on the hook' dialogue come up while fishing comes up, an alarm or bell sound plays?

it would only be possible with a dll modification or macro and the only current one on mabimods is Abyss but even then it would be difficult and not a priority mod to be done so the quick answer would be no.

the macro would need to have OCR to read the text and then play a sound but i only know a few people that have done this including myself and again i'm not sure if this mod would be a priority given that we all have projects more important.

I figured it would be complicated like that. The whole point was so that I could manual fish while browsing, so having something watch the screen for text wouldn't work.

yea, so i really doubt this would be done unless someone revives Naotimer and adds this feature.

So I saw some guy on the Tarlach server training support shot in TNN way faster than should be possible. He told me that he had a mod that set it to his default ranged attack so he could just leave his game on auto attack and shoot the zombies while he went afk. Has anyone heard of this mod or know where I can find it? I've searched for a few hours but nothing's come up.
Thanks!

Search for "default range" and go through the threads till you find what you want.

Anybody know where I could find the demonic weapons and the executioner sword in the data files? And does anyone know of a program that makes looking for stuff in the data files easier? Like a wiki page or something with the ids of items?

You Mabiunpacker to find itemxml.db in data/db folder then save it somewhere.
Set the notepad to read the file and open it type what you search for. Find the pmg file and that's the name of the file.
Use Mabiunpacker one more time to find the file in the data/gfx/char folders.
There are also guides for this, search them up.

Found the executioner sword but I have not found the demonic weapons. The XML file doesn't really help all that much, just looks like gibberish.

you can find a lot if that gibberish, but again guides can help you realize what is important and what is not.
