Animation Replacement

Okay not quite sure if this goes here, so if not don't flame me :P. So recently i tryed to replace the fusion bolt shooting animation with the kill with a one handed sword animation, and no success :/ so im wonderin if anyone can do this for me :)? thnx  if u can :D!

Fusion bolt shooting ani = bolt shooting ani.
And for verification purposes, what .ani's did you actually replace with what?

*EDIT* so where r the  ani files on mabi unpack o3o like in gfx? or wat o.o?
again i must've replaced somtin else cuz i didnt see thoughs files in what i was looking at :/

data/gfx/char then go to what ever folder your race is or chapter (such as Marlowe of Avon's standing position is in chapter4's animations). There is a folder called anim (this is short for animation obviously). Thats a good enough information to start off with.

Thnx guys u helped me alot :P but now im stuck again i got 8 "folders" if that's what i should say and they are these :
bhand_e
bhand_g
bhand_m
lhand_b
natural
rhand_a
sprite
tequip_c

and Magic fusion or anything related to "fusion" aint in those :/ (im lookin in the right spot cuz i see fireball and thunder and icespear ani.'s) sooooo whihc one is it :C?

Then you'll see some stuff about bolt combine with rhand_a03.

Yay found it :D now to replace it >:O! if ur fast enough to reply before i have to go look at a guide -.-. plz do :D!

*EDIT* k i found the files (just checking do i need the processing one to?) now how do i recplace them with the one handed sword one hit kill anim? Just a guess but do i gotta make a folder in "data" then make it go through all the other ones till anim then call the bolt casting file the sword anim file? kinda confusing  ::)

Wait, there's 6 things that can kill a mob in one hit; Attack01, Attack02, Attack03, Smash, Windmill, Counter. Unless you want to replace each one with the Bolt Casting anim, then feel free.

How to replace:
1. Find your desired .ani with MabiUnpack, extract it somewhere (like a folder to keep everything organized)
2. Find the name of the other ani you wish to replace (In your case, rhand_a<somethingsomething>)
3. Rename your desired .ani to the .ani you found in step 2
4. Go to your Mabinogi folder (not the one in My Documents). If you have the folders all set up, skip 4a
4a. Make a "data" folder, inside that, make a "gfx" folder, inside that, make a "char" folder, inside that, make a "human" folder, inside that, make a "anim" folder, inside that, make a "tool" folder, inside that, make a "rhand_a" folder. In the end, it should look like Mabinogi\data\gfx\char\human\anim\tool\rhand_a on your address bar
5. Put Step 3 .ani in this folder
6. Restart mabi

Gah it didn't work -.- I replaced the killing ani (with sword) and ranmed it with the magic fusion bolt casting name but no success :/ i used these:
uni_tool_rhand_a03_bolt_combine_two_hand_casting (fusion bolt)
female_tool_rhand_a02_attack_03  (sword attack)

but they didn't work T^T can someone just do this for meh :/?

So... you're gonna fusion bolt with a sword swing?

Take female_tool_rhand_a02_attack_03.ani
Rename it to uni_tool_rhand_a03_bolt_combine_two_hand_casting.ani
Put it in data/gfx/char/chapter4/human/anim/tool/rhand_a/

Once you do it yourself, the more accomplished you'll feel.
