Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

FAQ for your mods
« on: February 14, 2011, 12:45:15 pm »
So this little FAQ I've put together will reduce( hopefully) the threads made for QQ over not working clients.  Now lets get into this:

1: I have updated my client's XMLs, but i still crash.  Why?
A: Delete Itemdb.xml and racedb.xml

2: I have Frontend, and NX patched.  Do i need to worry about anything?
A: No, The Proffessor usually will update before the Maintenance is complete.

3: I did something to my .dlls and screwed up, where can I find clean ones?
A: Frontend users have the ability to download fresh ones.  For other users use the most current ones at the side of the site will show the recent files at hand.

4: What if its not up to date dlls?
A: Dlls not up to date will be patched and updated via the FTP server from NX.

5: Should I backup Mabinogi before messing with it when it is clean?
A: Yes. you should always backup the folder.  Frontend users should never have to manually backup the folder since Frontend does it for you.  For non-Frontend users switching to Frontend, make sure you don not have a backup already there.  For those who prefer the other patchers, just make sure it is clean and labeled other than your current folder which you'll mod for.

6: I'm getting a 0x0000005 error.  Whats this mean?
A: Go to http://mabimods.net/index.php?topic=7670.0 to see how to fix your issue.

7: I'm getting a 0xc0000005 error.  Whats that mean?
A: go to http://mabimods.net/index.php?topic=7880.0 to fix your issue.

8: My mabi has been modded.  But when I press "Start Game" nothing happens.  Why?
A: This could be due to several issues.  One of which could be multiple patchers active in your mabi folder.
Another solution to the problem is your current directory is not working and may need to be put somewhere else.

9: My mods don't show! What's going on?
A: Simple, you have more than one patcher active and is conflicting.  Or you have an outdated one.  Another issue seen is that your read data folder option found in the .ini file of your patcher is turned to 0.  Simply turn it to where the value  = 1.  However, Frontend users must not change any values of the .INI file as Frontend does the automatically.

10: Can I mod the client while running?
A: No the client(Game) must be shutdown before any changes can be made.

11: I think the FTP(File Transfer Protocol) server is down.  I get cannot connect to FTP server.  Whats this mean?
A: It can mean only two things.  Its too busy, or the FTP server has been botched and you may need to change the HOSTS file.  See http://mabimods.net/index.php?topic=7911.msg116759#msg116759

12.  I'm wondering why you guys dont support most stuff on Epvp or host those files.  Why not?
A:  The reason is simple we dont host game breaking mods.  Nor do we give help for such mods.

13.  My thread is not anywhere on the forums...  Where is it?
A:  The trash
Happy Modding. ^^

Or just reduce version.dat by one
