Okay, here's the thing about talking pets. Personally, I use it. It's useful for RPing (which my guild specializes in) and is kind of cool, and useful for knowing your pet's status. But I try not to make it obvious as much as possible. I like my pet talking and would personally not like everyone having it, or having it taken away. It's cool.
I'm willing to provide the standard, confusing, do-it-yourself link that everyone knows how to get; or I can also give a very helpful generator upon PM. It's fun to give your pets a bit of personality. My favorite two are my French Siamese Cat and my Sarcastic Sheep.
Also be aware, in-game, when a pet talks it isn't in the chat log, but, OTHER PLAYERS CAN SEE IT. Most people don't realize that.
