Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

As I see it, there are 2 types of females on Mabi, those that seek to be fashionable and cute (domination of the female sector) and those who seek to generally dominate in power and prowess (domination of the males).  I however seek a higher goal, domination of the world, and as such I need an unfair advantage and modding is where I gain that edge which I can use to acquire both fashion and power thusly becoming omnipotent and asexual.

But alas I must confess something;
It is extremely hard to be taken seriously as a female modder, regardless of your status within an established community.  I use a generally masculine name, Bishop, so that the first impression you gain of me is that of a strong male power figure to avoid all the bullcrap that comes along with being a female.  When I come right out and say it, many people have the same reaction and that is "You're a girl, those mods are not your own work, someone must have given them to you for sex or something because there is no way that you could do this kind of work on your own."  And that's simply not true.  It's kind of hurtful.  That's why I use a generally androgynous subtext when I start to appear and in open areas, because it avoids the stereotypes and the blah.
Hope you understand.

Haha, I do not diss you! I encourage you to be what you want, I don't give a darn either way. And the reason being I said my first statement was because the only girls I have noticed were Bishop Amaretto (Kinda hard not to notice her) and that was about it. I did not know cross was a girl, because I have never spoken to her.
Anyways, Bishop, whatever mods you have contributed, I thank you for them, and I may also check them out to see if I have already archived them :3.

A little young for most of you guys on here.
Let's say... I'm just now going into high school?

Little late, but hey! I'm a freshmen too!

Although, you'll have to guess whether it's High school, undergraduate, or graduate.

Never looked at it like that. It's kinda true.
I don't know what I'd fit under, as my idea of 'fashionable' is a muffler and a stiff tail cap. o.o
Then my skills aren't too sharp, and I'm not really a competitive person. :/

amen.

But alas I must confess something;
It is extremely hard to be taken seriously as a female modder, regardless of your status within an established community.  I use a generally masculine name, Bishop, so that the first impression you gain of me is that of a strong male power figure to avoid all the bullcrap that comes along with being a female.  When I come right out and say it, many people have the same reaction and that is "You're a girl, those mods are not your own work, someone must have given them to you for :censored: or something because there is no way that you could do this kind of work on your own."  And that's simply not true.  It's kind of hurtful.  That's why I use a generally androgynous subtext when I start to appear and in open areas, because it avoids the stereotypes and the blah.

I didn't realize either that there was some sort of sexist dilemma going on when it came to mods.
Usually, when I read forum text, the author to me is defined as... genderless/androgynous, in a way.
Then, if I see that, say, the person has their gender put as male, I'll think: "Oh, wow. That person has a :censored:." /moving on

Actually Bishop, I know quite a few female modders that I would never think got their mods from someone else. Then I know a few that did get their mods from someone else, but never released as their own.

Then again, I live in Ruairi, modding central, MABINA.

Here's another randomly funny one:
it's technically a real life picture...
E = mc² actually stands for Enjoyment = (Modifying the Client)². The more Mods you have, the Enjoyment increases exponentially.
