Actually I think that's a common pet name for S.Os in Canada.

Do you remember the metal moose I had made? Somebody asked to see it, so I puushed it (not noticing which filename I had puushed) and sent it without looking.
Turns out I sent Gabby's picture, saying it was my moose, when I realized it, I said "Oh, well here's a picture of my girlfriend then" and sent the moose.

So I now call her my moose... Which led her to get a moose hat lol

I have the same type of katana, but all black sheath, most likely made by the same company. The blades and tsubas look to be completely identical. Mine is part of a full set though. It has the katana, a wakizashi, and a tanto.

As did mine, full set.

However, someone had individually bought the other three pieces (it also had a wall rack for the three) leaving just the katana and stand. Really wish I had the whole set

You shouldn't collect, It's a bad habit and i became the not so proud owner of two real Claymores that cost alot.
