Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

I helped someone install a 36tb raid on a mac server the other day.
Pictures and proof or it didn't happen.

you honestly expect me to watch an 11 minute youtube video about one guy's problem with a mac server? or how this one window's server is great? I helped someone install a 36tb raid on a mac server the other day.

scsi?
tape?
im curious not even the servers that we manage at my job need that much space. hell the CARS server needs a max of 7tb. 36tb seems over the top and unneeded.

also raid is kinda pointless at that high of a level if you are using that much. might as well just back it up in batch files or rtb the thing. because lets face it. if you are using a 36tb raid then i know there its power to do RTB or a BATCH.

If your going to waste money on Apple computers I could use some cash to fix my second car's rear drum breaks. :)

they where given to me. FOR FREE

Odds are they are dedicated to servers. I would rather run a mac server than a windows server.

i would rather run linux and use VMS of windows or mac since that what im planning to do with these 64 gig, 2 8 core beast.

vming is a lot more efficient and its a tad better specially when doing dummy systems. might up the ram to 128 or something who knows. i kinda like ECC ram

p.s i see raid as a pointless tool so i never use it. i rather just manage everything with RTB or Batching the system. it makes life easier. also Tapes are still in style for batching and RTBing they weight less and take up less room. and have about 4-8 tb per tape now depending on the configuration of the batch/RTB compression level <--- you can tell i hang out in the server room too much.

Rich-kid school server. Also seemed like they wanted to get rid of an old drive bay as well, so it was really an update of only 16tb.
Might help with the patcher problem, but after than that I'll be done. If some people want to stay in touch with me if there is ever help needed, PM me and I'll give contact info.

I'm also surprised how many people are still around, Mark, Skitty, Skai, Halfslashed, Etc... Sorry if I didn't name anyone.

Virtually everything I say is meant with no offense. If something sounds offensive, I'm sorry!! Please tell me if you find it upsetting.

Then do tell me your method on getting 3 of them. I know you can find the laptops at reclining places but I never find the tower systems.

a company that just replaced their computers with brand new ones. and you happen to freelance for them. so they give you some machines. as opposed to tossing them in the trash.

I know schools do it all the time because they don't want to take care of it or regularly clean it.

Nope, Government Tax support. One time the school asked me to to find A "HASS CNC Vertical Mini Mill", It cost $45,995.00 and got it for free. You Tax dollars hard at work For wasteful spending! :3

im in NJ christie doesnt believe in schools so he cuts funding left and right. alright?

private=/= and never will equal public. and when a school lacks funding they make whatever they have LAST.

stop being stupid and think that the government will supply schools with money. if the state cuts their funding they are screwed and NJ always cuts school funding.

thats why you get crap when you get free things from a school because they make it last. I get mine from a private company that gets new computers every 2-3 years.

public cost:
tutition +lab fees and other items - 1600-1700

private
tutition+lab fees and other items: 25k+
board: 1-5k depending on location
books: roughly 900 dollars.

which has more money to spend. Private.
which needs no money from the government. Private.

the private btw is the cost at stevens over in hoboken

So, what do you guys think?  It's ALMOST finished, I still need to refine the edges and polish it...

Is the top side a little thinner?
Seems like it will look great after that edge refinement. I like it.

Also, I like the chain. My ex gave me a necklace with a..not really a string but I can't think of what else to call it.. once. Very itchy. @.@ Metal is better. <3

Nothing is even on it, by the time I'm completely finished, it will be leveled, and as symmetrical as I can possibly get it, I'll also PROBABLY be using a black patina to stain the soldering pitch black.  Depending on a few factors, when she actually shows up.

I want to get a picture of the final product, but I probably won't be able to, as it's going to be on somebody by then.

Well girls wearing necklaces typically makes for a nice backdrop. ;3

Also I would have to see it black for a final call, I'm liking it as silver. Though coated with something to make it a smooth texture would be nice.

It depends on the girl's reply to something, first, before I attempt a patina.
It'll most likely be remaining in tact, as the silver solder finish.

The patina honestly doesn't take any effort or time to do.  I'm going to subtly ask her which she likes more, black or silver, if black I will quickly use the black patina and let it sit for awhile, then before I take her out I'm going to put the necklace around her neck as we're leaving.  (give it time to set)

As for the proposal, '93 man.  Ain't happening.

She has no clue what I've made, or that I've even made something at all.  So I can't just flat out ask which one I should use as a finish, now can I?

Where is the thread-specific search button. ;~;
