Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

It's the drives, your running antiques there, I haven't seen one of those since I was like 6.

I honestly, miss them, thinking about putting one in my computer I'm building... :D
Hehe, the two desktops running as servers are something like 10+ years old on the older one and maybe 5 years on the other. 2 of the servers in the pic are Proliant ML370 ... G1 XD 2 are G2, 1 G3 and 1 G4p. Think the newest versions of those lines are like G8 now... Think we have a G4 in another building with the rest being G3's but could be 2's. So yeah, they're quite old.

And while I don't really mind floppies, it seems like whenever I use them, the disk just decides to crap out if I take it out of the drive. Combined with the fact that you can't fit anything on a floppy anymore... Though, I should take a pic of the stack of LS-120 drives on the shelf in the office. (A lot more in a box in the basement of another building.) Those things I did enjoy. Don't know why they never really took off. Zip drives, which at the time, stored less and weren't compatable with regular floppies, did take off. Go figure. I loved my LS-120 drive, even had a couple of the encrypted disks, which I had a lot of pictures on, which I forgot the password to and lost all those pictures. T-T But now I'm married to the model of those pictures so it all worked out and the old pictures were replaced with new ones. lol

All you would have needed is a MS-DOS boot... Delete necessary files, then reboot on the actual OS. That's like, what, 10MB's at worst?

Although I have to say, I do like DeepFreeze for your basically admin-capability when you run the machine (If applicable.) Run whatever programs you like without worry of reprimand.
we just got rid of it here. bescause the old networking dept are was incompitent they where fired. the new guys are really cool. REMOTE ACCESS... it feels like christmas.
Well, that just sucks. Seems like you need to get a credit card. Just always make sure to not spend more than you can pay off. Which used to be so simple and easy for me to do...

Anyway, to get back on topic, more RL pics...

The wall behind my desk... Yes, my office, while rather large, also doubles as the server room. It's rather noisy.

And slightly to the left of that pic...

is this lovely switch rack which doesn't help with the noise.

and cheez my thought my dept was messy. but we just had a fire in one of the building so we are in kinda disarray.

I was hungry... So I went and got the bag of jellybeans from my boss's car. As I passed his office, he saw me and told me to not eat them all... Said nothing about not dumping them in the jar so that I can't give him the bag back and so that I'll inevitably eat almost all of them...

REMOTE ACCESS... it feels like christmas.

Are you sure that it has nothing to do with the fact that christmas is only a couple weeks away and it's (at least here) all snowy outside? XD

Yeah, remote access is nice. I'm hoping to soon have multiple ways of getting remote access in. I think we talked about possibly allowing remote access through the new M$ domain when we switch, plus the VPN we already have, plus I'm hoping to get pfSense boxes installed on all our backup cable connections at each building with auto-failover to VPN over the cable when the main network goes down which will also have an extra "roadwarrior" setup for additional remote access for me.

Yeah, I knew someone was going to say something about the mess. It's on my list of things to clean up, but probably won't get done until summer (I take off the week between xmas and new year's, this year it only takes 2 vacation days :) ) when there's hardly anyone here.

Simon? The BOFH? hehe

Were they told to do that by "management" or did they just want it all for themselves? Though, I've been tempted to run some scripts on the proxy, mostly on April Fools to flip images upside down, make pages do barrel rolls and such...

I'm tempted to sneak into the server room at my school and get a picture of it, you've not seen a mess until you've seen this room.

It's a small room, it's a little 5ft square, the floor isn't visible with all the cables, none of the machines have casing, everything exposed, and cables hanging out...

See, newegg would be a wonderful solution for all my tech needs(I'm rebuilding a computer currently)

My problem though, is that I'm Canadian, and lack credit cards, so being stuck with only cash and a debit card, I can't use newegg, since Canadian debit isn't accepted anywhere1 accept in store.

let me put it this way.
the head of networking (not my dept) said one day I OWN THIS ENTIRE SCHOOL MY SAY IS FINAL.
he was so bad the school has a restraining order against him.

he liked to control everything. when he ran the servers we got about 10-15 kb/s
now we get 20-30mb/s

he also blocked sites and databases. something that in my state is illegal to do.
he had me configure some of the servers to work on a novel/win2003/win2008r2 system. do you have any idea how hard that is?

aned your server rack is/was more organized then my entire server systems we had here. we actually got rid of those servers and upgraded to new blade servers SO. we are running nicely.
but yeah our old networking manager. was a control freak and the college is better without him.

im glad he was fired >:I him being fired got me rehired.

That is a GameWare PC Controller that looks nothing like a PS2 Controller, it just happens to have the same layout and design BUT ALL THE BUTTONS ARE NUMBERED instead of having a small shape on them so this is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!
