News

Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

Nadindel, the Guides section does exist for a reason.
Also, weapon swaps technically cannot be "broken", lol.

Some quick little pointers-
1. There are 4 Two Handed Sword files, and no Dragon Blade files, weapon_twohandedsword01_ego, weapons_twohandedsword01, weapon_twohandedsword02, weapon_twohandedsword02_ego
2. It might help to specify where to put them, instead of people having to read through the comments to find out. As I myself have searched multiple times and cannot find a tutorial on how to mod with the .pgm files and all the links I find are broke.
3. I'm having trouble getting it to work. I have them extracted in file C:\Nexon\Mabinogi\data\gfx\char\human\tool
So, with that should I have kept them in the .rar file or did I do right by extracting them?
4. If all this above was useless (You abandoned the project and the patches killed the mod) then don't bother PMing me, but if it's still working I would like a PM telling me what I'm doing wrong when installing this.

1. This mod isn't broken
2. You did a huge necro
3. Read the rules

You read the rules; it's "critical information," or at least I could call it such.
Necro deserves to be ignored.

The thing is, it doesn't help the thread at all, however "critical" it is :P

Doesn't matter.
Rules say "Critical" not "Helpful."

I HAVE read the rules. Necro is stupid. And I didn't ask for a guide. I just said I hadn't found one that tells me how to do this. Which, I have, by the way. And I still can't get it to work. The only thing I asked for was someone to PM me what I'm doing wrong. Not to point out what's wrong in my post.

I was GOING to write a guide for everything I knew about data folder modding, but then I just got lazy. /quit.

Anyways, the first thing you need to do is put it in the correct place, and with the correct name.

Then, use data packer to move it into your .pack files, and your game will use it.

KISS, Keep it simple stupid.  That's the approach you need to take with questions like this.  If someone can't figure out how to cope with a simple error, we need not fill their head with any information.  It's a waste to do so.

lol, oh, wow... I did what you said, and while I couldn't get your mod to work, my PGM Edits started working.. I log on, go to run Karu, get into a rooms full of Stone Imps, and am I surprised when I pull out my Ego and it be Red. Scared the crap out of me.

Yes, I know the rules are there for a reason. I read them. And I obey them the best I can. But there are some things that are really just pointless. Like Nexon's rules for example~ No hacking and or modding is allowed, yet they never seem to ban the ones they catch.

What's a PGM? :o

And you should be proud that your ego is red - that means a social level of 81+
