Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

i'd recommend using a vpn as an easy solution to that.

Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. Getting a good VPN is so pricey though, and often times it proves to be far slower than my normal internet :'(

I know that simply waiting 10-15 minutes to retry logging in works well enough, for me at least.

I still may take a while to respond as I have school and other things throughout the day. Also, my IGN is Raeffion (Alexina/Ruari and Triona on MabiPro). Say hi if you'd like when you see me, I'm usually not up to much

I'm curious as to how to set up the custom server profiles. I've input a few values in my server profile for MabiPro but I have no idea if/how I can get some of the others and I also don't know if my values are correct. I've asked some of the devs at MabiPro and they said it'd be best to ask here. Any tips on where to start finding the missing values I need?

Me sorry,

So in theory, MabiPro would want to be the ones hosting the custom profile. Then they would just provide the url to the profile and the launcher would automatically pull the settings for you.

They would put their settings in the json file.

The Profile Update URL is the url the launcher will use to automatically fetch updates to the other settings.

Pack Data URL is used to store the update url that would be used to download pack file data for updates.

Root Data URL is used to store data for things that arent pack file related, like mp3s and such like that.

I've been using this since release and have had no such issues? Nor have I ever seen a captcha used in the process of logging into the game? Can you maybe provide some screenshots to clarify? Unless I missed something in the last couple days. The only issue ive ran into is updates taking a long time doing them through hyddwn. That said I would like to thank the creator for his amazing work on this, its nice being able to open the program, choose a profile and log in. Has saved me from mid alby hm crashes a few times now.

Thanks! I really appreciate that!

I have been working out the update process, I will be building in a little test utility to have the launcher automatically determine the best settings to use so that patching can be faster for more users in the future.

It only happens if you log into many different accounts from the same IP. Here's a picture of the captcha:

and here's what happens in Hyddwn

Interesting, thanks for this. I’ve also seen a couple of other issues related to the login I need to fix.

As of today, Hyddwn Launcher will recognize my credentials and launch the game, but it will give me an error "server can not be reached" upon trying to start the game from the login screen. I can launch the game from the nexon launcher and play fine, though. It could be due to the update and updating the client fixed it, but I've been able to play without the newest update before, the game just crashes.

To clarify, you are saying previously if you launched an out of date client it would crash when you tried to do something that only works on a newer client.

Now however, if you start an out of date client it gives you the "Server cannot be reached " error message now?

However launching an out of date client from Nexon Launcher does not have issues?

You need another modification that will enable you to launch multiple clients first. Afterwards, just launch the launcher multiple times with different accounts being used to sign-in. I don't advise saving login information, that way this can be done quickly if you use multiple accounts quite often.

1 - Use the launcher to start Mabi.

2 - Use the launcher to start Mabi again.

Then you have two open.

Putting the same request on asking on how to multi client isn't going to do you or anyone else any favors as far as them seeking info as much as you are. You'd be better served by exercising patience if you're going to post in one thread instead of posting here and in say another thread (not saying you did, just for future reference). Multiple postings or multiple threads all seeking the same thing the same request is generally frowned upon in most communities as far as forums. Just a heads up.

Can we get some logic(If filename=ilj11.dll) put into the patching system to prevent overwriting the Abyss ilj11.dll file? Its kinda annoying to have to replace that one file every time mabi pops up without mods.

Yes, more details on how this will work coming soon.

Following up with this, there are several key components I need to add befre I really start to provide supoort for the feature (which is why there isn't much info on how to use it)

I wasn't posting the same request. Simply letting the person who told me that I need Abyss, that I do have Abyss.

Yes, more details on how this will work coming soon.

If it helps any, one of the ideas I had was to download the patch into a sort of cache file, and then when moving the files over to the mabi folder, ignore the ilj11.dll file or rename(to ilj11.dat, like how it is in the abyss download files) or delete it before moving the patch file.

I'm a little salty, sorry, If you are using Abyss and Hyddwn Launcher at the same time, and you enabled MultiClient in your Abyss.ini file, you'd not be asking a lot of different times in a lot of different places to how to do it.

Abyss's forum topic addresses it too I believe.

I think I am being unfair, but at the same time, I am surprised that for the effort your are putting in, you did not look into Abyss to see if the feature was turned on for you. I also feel like several party have contributed to trying to help you, but we can't do it for you. (well we can, but would you learn anything from it?) this is why I'm salty.

Hi, Sven! Thanks again for your work on Hyddwn! It's been working great.

One question, though: Sometimes when I launch Hyddwn, it says there's an update to 0.9.0.1. Out of curiosity, I've tried to update it, but nothing seems to change after it's done. Plus, there's nothing about it on your Github, either.

Not sure if this was brought up before or not (I didn't see anything... but I might've missed it).

I apologize!

So I haven't loaded up Hyddwn in quite some time and every first load it either crashes or it simply doesn't open. The client has given me this error.
The occasions where the launcher doesn't open, it's due to the process having stayed open somehow and I only get a crash log window as opposed to typically both the client and the crash log windows. Sadly, I haven't been able to replicate this and screencap recently while it was a regular occurrence the other day; however, I will keep you posted should this happen again.
I seem to remember the gist of that particular crashlog saying that the process was already running. Maybe some tweaking is in order in dealing with how it simply crashed instead of closing the process entirely once I closed the log. Maybe offer an option to the user once this happens asking if they'd like to force that process to close (I'm sorta lazy about opening taskmgr, ik it's three keys but it takes a minute to load, so it's not necessary. Just a quality of life thing I suppose so do take your time on this one).

I also get this error and Sven is aware of it as posted here at highest priority  http://jira.hyddwnproject.com:8080/projects/HL/issues/HL-14?filter=allopenissues
it has to do with the log file being in use/not being accessed or handled correctly.
