All guides will be compiled and sorted into categories, similar to the Database of Mods

Thank you Marck, for bringing this to my attention.



This section of the forums is now officially under construction while I work on this.
Expect many changes to the threads/board.  If something has suddenly gone missing, please refer back to this thread, as it will have been compiled here and pushed back into the void that is the thread listings.   No more stickies.

This new database will updated in chunks, not one at a time!
It will take some time to fully complete the listings.  So until such a time as I've completed it, the guide section will remain as-is.  Once completed however, there will be an overhaul.

Welcome to MabiMods!  Below is a full list of all guides to be found here.

Note that some authors do not give permission to supply their content, as such some links here may direct you to their corresponding thread, where you'll find links to their official websites and/or locations, as they are hosted off-site.


Please be aware that all the guides are accurate, but may not reflect the current revision of the game, and should be used used as a reference.
I will attempt to color-code the "current version" guides in green text but take that with a grain of salt.  Read the guide itself, and use the knowledge within to figure out how current it may be.

Just note that the date of a guide is NOT representative of how current it is. There are some topics that become outdated quickly, and some topics that are timeless.   If you can't figure out if a guide is still current, feel free to ask.

The master guide is a collection of every important guide, both relating to mabi mods, and not. It includes every type of mod, as well as general PC use, and other such information.

I wish to expand further on that.  Some guides do cover outdated content, for example i know in the past i had a guide that covered infinite heal range and first aid range before it was patched.  Just because a mod is outdated, does not mean there's nothing to learn from it.  If a guide covers a topic you wish to know about, go ahead and read it, or at least skim it.  After that, you can make a new post/thread asking how much of that is actually up to date and relevant, or you can test out for yourself and learn a bit more in depth about what you're looking at.

This has been massively delayed. 

As some of you may know, I have some serious health concerns, involving my heart.
This has me traveling city to city often, jumping between medical professionals.

I have many various projects across the site, including this, PlayPack, the mod database, and I'm sure I'm missing some others at the time of typing this.

So it's not very often I have the time to work on my various projects.
BUT I'M HOME RIGHT NOW!

So this will no longer be delayed!
After I hit post on this message, I will start shoving updates after update into this thread.

Color coding for "current version" guides was mentioned, but will not be included in this update.  Since this has taken me so long to get the chance to update my focus is currently to mass-update with as many guides as I can manage, with BBCode to have each thread title a clickable link.

I feel like the color coding will help a lot to users looking for quick fixes and info. But it takes a lot of work to get each link manually clickable and titled. Plus finding the links...

Honestly, due to global warming, the serious "winter weather" doesn't normally begin until February.  It's a surprise to everybody that we're snowed in this early.

OKAY!

It's been a long time coming, but the time has finally come!
THE UPDATE TO MAKE THIS THREAD ACTUALLY MATTER!

I have health issues, and don't often have time to sit and work on stuff, so instead of leaving you with half broken, half finished updates... I've been slowly working on this in a text file on my PC.

It has no BBCode on it though, so nothing is clickable and nothing is formatted.
So I'll be updating bit by bit for the next few hours (from the time of this post) as I type in all the formatting. Instead of just in one single update.

Once done, the next update will be to sort everything into categories.  Such as PMG guides, XML guides, etc.  This is going to take just as long as this update took.  Unless somebody feels like helping out (PM me if you do want to) I will be having trouble keeping up with everything.

Also, the master-guide of mabimods, is located on another board. Where the user traffic is highest, so that is can be seen as much as possible.

If you have a guide you've written, or would like to write one that's included there, please let me know. I will have it added for you.
Having your guide added like that, will NOT take as long as everything else I do does.  As staff, I can edit your post, to rip the BBCode right out of your guide.  Making it as simple as copy and pasting it into the guide, then adding your name to the credits with a profile link.

And if you are not the creator of a guide, but found one that has helped you out, let me know, I will track down the author, and see if it can be added to the master-guide for others to make use of.

Also, no credits will be given to anybody, as each guide is a direct link to the creator's thread.

Also note that the OP states color coding to state if a guide is for current version or older.  Only the most used guides will be color-coded for the time being.  I will do my best to color code once all the links have been added. But don't trust the colors just yet.  I will work on that in the future
