Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

BTW, wanted to add this little bit that I noticed before the 12+ hour maint they did. I noticed that whenever I did try reading from the data folder instead of using DATAPacker, it would NGS on me every time. Not sure if that will help while you guys are investigating what is triggering NGS.

While not directly related to NGS, i do mention both direct launch and batch launch (among other methods) in the OP.  I will try to edit it in the morning, to clarify that though these methods don't seem to trigger NGS, you also can no longer log in like this.
As for actually fixing, yeah, i'd recommend inquiring in another thread rather than here.  There's discussion on it still, i've yet to hear of a fix.

Since direct launch no longer seems possible by any means (at least, with what we have now), this does seem to hamper the ability to multi-client.

However, it does seem possible to still login to two accounts at once: one through Steam and one through Nexon Launcher. I'm not sure if any modding is required for this to function, but I have both EnableMultiClient enabled in Abyss, and modified features.xml.compiled for it. Abyss and custom .pack are in both Mabi installs.

We're in the same boat. I stopped modding a couple years ago but lately the lag is just to much for me. I just installed Abyss and got NGSed not even 5 minutes after logging on so for now I'll have to use my backup/clean client until we find out what is causing the issue. Since the maintenance just ended yesterday evening, Abyss might just need some type of minor update or something. Just in case it's asked/inquired about, I only installed Abyss for now and turned off about 90% of the mod functions for it before starting up the client.

I can see in the OP where you put that as of April 19th, direct launch is not working. But is there a method of launch that is working right now to be able to use Tiara and abyss? or no? There is a pack version of UOT, which I am currently using. So I am thankful for that at least. As for the launch method, I'm currently using the pack version and using the Nexon launcher. Not getting detected by NGS so that's a plus I suppose. Perhaps that's why it was updated?

Been a while since i played, so unless something has changed, this should still hold true.

You can turn data folder into a pack folder, i know logue's packer can do this, and i believe prof has released something to do this.  Not entire sure about prof's though, as i never actually looked into it.

Abyss, it will load through a dll, it loads with the game, as long as it's in the right spot, similar to a pack file.  So it should work just fine, till NGS is updated, in which case you can just wait till blade updates abyss and releases said update.

Tiara, i believe is primarily data folder.  Think it might have abyss now, not sure, but that's still not an issue as i just discussed.  If tiara isn't packed, again you can just extract the mods you want into a data folder, and pack it.  Custom packs will be read.


And while i am mentioning packs, there are basic rules to using them.  They have to be in the right directory, the data mods contained within them all had to be the right directory and spelling, and a few other odds and ends you may be less likely to notice as they're not normally a major issue.  I won't walk through how to do all this though, i would encourage you to look up packing method, read as much as you can on it, and either play with it to figure it out, or make a new thread/post somewhere else other than this specific thread, inquiring to anything you're still confused about.

Ye as others have stated, don't need direct launch for abyss to work. Can't personally speak for tiara as I don't use it, but Abyss will load up just fine via nexon launcher, always has done.

It seems the whole NGS and booted to the old login screen is happening to the same users that keep getting this problem again. Just got it myself and a few of my usual go to people to ask have been getting it today also.

The logging into the old login screen solution still works, leave the userid number/username (in older accounts) in place and it will let you back in just fine, and once again NGS doesn't seem to take place afterwards.

Basically, the info at the top of the first post is still relevant, before people start flooding back here reporting the issue has arisen again.

as of 5:23 EST I'm getting kicked by NGS, I'm using Abyss. The original "log back in after being kicked" method is no longer working for me.

Edit: Was using the most recent update of Abyss.

Edit2: turns out i had mabiunpack open and mabi didn't like that, which is stated in the OP, may bad (p.s. sorry for the late update)

Hey guys, not really an NGS issue, but i'm crashing at random moments: like, while browsing something in my inventory, or when im using a skill from the skillwindow.

It doesnt give me any error message, but it freezes the whole game for a second, and automatically shuts down the client

Does anyone know or share a common problem like mine? I dont think there would be a mini eventmanager... right? :o

edit: The error seems to be coming from my tiara packs. The crash didnt appear for a few hours after i removed the lang+uotiara. I was using the versions which i redl'ed today, so that didnt seem to be the case. But, if i am the only one with this problem, then perhaps i need to repair my entire client..

Anyone else getting NGS'd as of this post?

Edit; using Abyss, kanan standalone, and some data folder mods. i dont think its the data folder mods tho..

Edit2: can confirm it isnt abyss..removed abyss and still had the issue

Edit3: cant confirm anything, nothing im doing seems to be fixing the issues lol, am just gonna try a clean install

Edit4: after doing a clean install and only adding abyss I can confirm im being NGS'd by it, i dont know what was causing it earlier after having deleted it and everything else..maybe my steam install?

Edit5: guess not..? Im at a complete loss at this point..

Edit6(sorry for the multiple edits); Turns out MabiUnpack was triggering NGS, not that i had it anywhere near my Mabinogi Folder, was on a completely different harddrive..but Nexon be nexon i suppose -shrugs-

Second time i've had issues with MabiUnpack, you'd think i'd learn my lesson..LOL..is there a more reliable unpack-er that doesnt trigger NGS that im not aware of?
