Not quite.  They will likely get their games playable for win10, but i bet it won't be till after new years' or some crap, before it's stable enough that the majority of players can actually launch mabi, log in, and be on their char.  Now, staying on without crashing or hackshield is another story.

I've not once seen the game crash, on any version of Windows.
That is, excluding the Windows 10 issue with actually getting into the game, and mod related issues.

Once you've managed to log in, and be on your character, I've never seen it crash.

I have.  Been playing on a laptop for a while now, haven't had too much issues.

Notable problems, not necessarily crashing.  Memory leak.  Playing mabi on a windows xp operating system, i had issues with memory slowly going up till i crashed.  Playing on win 7 and xp, i've had an issue wehre i can't alt tab to change windows.  I know i've hit a few other issues over the years, that i've dealt with and pretty much forgotten by now.  Windows 10 just needs some time to become more widely used, then nexon will look into keeping it working for the most part.  Depending on system configuration, i still expect certain players to continue experiencing technical difficulties though.  That's the way it generally goes.

I'm pretty sure Nexon's modus operandi is something along the lines of, don't fix it until the money stops.  And don't fix it, just make more pretty items and shove it in a premium purchase.

I recommended the vindi method to a friend and he launched vindi, didn't crash after like 15mins. Getting impatient, he decided to just start up a clean version of mabi and it loaded him in so your method does work for others Playtime.

I just redownloaded Vindi on W10. Used to crash after I updated my OS but after I redownloaded it doesn't crash anymore. Also, I opened Mabi client with Abyss and Data file loads fine, doesn't crash. Closed Vindi and client still seems to be working for about 3 hours no crash.

Further testing has shown that the game does not need to crash to work with mabi.

Also the game won't often crash on it's  own, and needs a little help by,

Sometimes the games won't do it on their own, and need a little help.

For example, with Vindictus, when you first load up the game it may often times stop responding for a bit, then come back a minute later, with more progress in loading the bar, or whatever it may have been doing.
During this time, clicking the X, or just click spamming it in general will bring up the "window has stopped responding, what do yo want to do?" pop up, which you can then use to close the program and kill it off.

What's very odd I was playing Mabinogi just fine for a couple of days, but strangely it just stopped working and dies at the log in screen. The only thing I've messed with was the "Xbox" option and listed Mabinogi as a "record-able game" and that's when I started having this issue.

So, got windows 10.  Able to log in, out of like 5 attempts i only failed once.  Only drawback, mabinogi related, is that i used a python server to save my hotkeys, and i can't get it to work at all now.


Been playing with the cortana ai/voice, kind of amusing.

Mk, so not much new here, but i figure i'd share my experiences, just as a second voice or whatever.

One, mabi works perfectly with abyss.
Two, trying to launch mabi clean, makes it dead.  You all covered the problems with that.  I noticed that my client was still taking 30% of my cpu though, even though it technically wasn't supposed to be doing anything...  Laptop has 6 GB ram though.
Three, after launching mabi with abyss, i am currently unable to close crackshield.  Not even with administrator task manager privileges.  Just... nothing happens.  My cpu's none too fond of it either.



After the third step i tried to launch vindictus.  No other nexon game in the background, but crackshield's still on.  Vindictus launched just fine, i got to the log-in screen and then closed it.  It didn't crash or error out, just i wasn't interested in doing anything with it.

I got my mabinogi on windows 10 to work with abyss+tiara.

What i did is i right clicked all abyss file>Property>and ticked the *Unlock* and then Apply.

And poof mabi just started fine withou any problem. Haven't crashed or had any issue in the last 5 hour.

The curious thing is I can kill Crackshield normally unlike some reported. Also when I run Mabi clean I can kill the process within task manager unlike that which is reported. (It still doesn't launch this way just sits in task manager).

The Hackshield error 0x0000102 is apparently a program interfering with the initialization of Hackshield (Crackshield obviously but shouldn't this be bypassed?). This error also only happens when I have Crackshield enabled. Currently going to try a reinstall of Mabi for the giggles.

My thing is hardware, not software, so I can't say for certain why or how this is happening, but it would appear the issues differ depending on your original base installation of Windows, prior to upgrading to 10.  Those that reformatted into 10 also have their own set of issues.  Although many are shared.

Using the Vindictus method seems to be the solution to all the various issues however.
Even though at times, you can run the game and crackshield without issue, it can still happen to you, and the Vindictus method works, without any failure that I've seen reported.

Yes. That's the intended action of double clicking it. Just don't if you don't wish to crash. Nothing to do with win10

It won't shut down... if you don't double click it.

Also, lonely server is lonely.  Nexon needs to do a better job of updating when maint ends, that or wiki needs to actually show when it's happening and ended.

Does this method with vindictus still work? I can't seem to get it to work, and vindictus runs fine if I let it go without trying to crash it.
