Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

Sorry for "reviving" this topic but I have a question on making the dolls pick up cobweb.

So I followed an example given by the first one who replied, went into race.xml, and changed ExtraData= to
Code: [Select]
"<xml pickableItems="2000;1000">"(I got the 1000 from itemdb.txt, which says cobweb's item code is 1000)
yet the dolls don't pick up cobwebs. Any suggestions?

Incorrect Item ID! You should get the item ID from itemdb.XML instead of the translated version!

Thanks a lot man I'll test it later
Also, where are you getting these item codes? It doesn't look like an xml

He has some sort of tool that parses the xml and exports it in a table format.

I'm not going to answer that until you format it properly and in code tags.

not sure how to format i just copy and pasted what was in the notepad i apologize uh lets see, honestly all i wanted was to have the bags pick up anything, and everything so i tried the suggested,
Code: [Select]
/item/;/equip/;/food/;/metal/;/material/;/usable/;/*/;//;*; i placed it after the original
Code: [Select]
ExtraData="<xml pickableItems="2000", so that it said
Code: [Select]
ExtraData="<xml pickableItems="2000" pickableItemStringId=" /item/;/equip/;/food/;/metal/;/material/;/usable/;/*/;//;*;, i run a crafting guild, so i litterally collect, everything that drops, as we craft anything from weapons to meals. Ive tried fiddling around with trying things like rabbit feet or mucus and apparently im doing that wrong as well. I do know the bag is correct, 5355 is the fennec fox doll bag. Also in the proccess of locating "the heroes of the goddess" doll bag. Also yes, i know i probably sound like a idiot, editing xmls is not my forte, i did read the guides, still slightly confuses me, the only real experience i have with editing anything is autobot, and thats more common sense than anything when writing a script.

If you wanted the doll to pick up anything couldn't you just
Code: [Select]
ExtraData="<kableItems="2000" pickableItemStringId="/*/"

I can try, from reading your post i thought you HAD to put a category. I apologize for the double post, technically i edited the original post about 5 times before i was able to figure out the <> to [], i had given up and was going to just put it in bold, and noticed it went "[ b ]" so i figured hmm hell why not lets try that. I just got excited for figuring something out instead of asking millions of questions :D.

If you wanted the doll to pick up anything couldn't you just
Code: [Select]
ExtraData="<kableItems="2000" pickableItemStringId="/*/"

it worked thank you.

Is the current pack to update: 210_to_211.pack ?

I copy pasted Kristell's doll pickup string directly to rabbit doll's pickup string (bunny doll) but my doll isn't picking up cobwebs.

not sure what changed but it's working now!

You need to mod the race.xml from the packfile with the highest version.

COME BACK TO LIFE!

I have no problem editing the pick up code. My datapacker is saying that it can't detect any mods found. The directory I've placed my edited .xml file is C:\Nexon\Library\mabinogi\appdata\data\db\ai\local\race.xml. Is this correct? Is there some other reason the datapacker is not finding my race.xml?

Wrong folder. Look up where you extracted it from.

Or read this thread as it's mentioned several times, despite being orthogonal to the original topic. If you continue to have problems, I'd recommend you start a new thread, as you'll get your question answered sooner.
