Needs to be updated for R139. Will cause the program to completely end when trying to load the channel after character select on R138.

Assuming you mean the side hot keys have you made sure they're turned on in the options?

Will this update to R139 possible result in modification of Crackshield? or have any potential to fix the freezes in any way?

Nexon fixed the freeze lags for the most part haven't had one since the maint to fix it

Try using a different mirror or repairing the archive? I've asked others and they didn't have any problem with it.

@Nate, Go into the INI file and set the value for Bitmap Fonts to 0 (zero).

Am I the only one that can't get the client to start after updating this? Opened fine on the old version, but wouldn't load the char screen (game would freeze). Installed the new version, and now client.exe doesn't even start.

Go to where you extracted the files.
Find dsound.ini
Locate ";Use bitmap fonts instead of vector fonts to prevent window lag.
Bitmap=1"
Change the 1 to 0.
Done.
