The problem you may be having is trying to launch it from another place. I could be wrong, however. Sorry if this doesn't work.

Thanks that did the trick. I be it would have worked if I put the batch file in the directory and executed the batch with a shortcut.

I have been having the same problem as epeeners has as well for months. In my case, I can detail my hardware qithout a screenshot.

it is a HP Pavilion dv6 notebook pc runing Windows 7 64bit home prem.
Intel cor 13-2330M CPU 2.20GHz x2

4gb RAM

I have all the visual basic stuff allready instaled as well as their dll's inside th mabinogi folder itself. I've done everythnig already on forums.

Abyss works fine o my old Acer, but even after using the same step, it never work for my HP. SAme OS, similar specs

it may help o know I have a ATI/intel hybrid card. those things are evil.

And you did run the game with NO mods in the folder at all, including those you data pack.  Make you client clean, run it a first time, then quit and mod.

Yes that's all you have to do. Configuration would be a good idea, though.

"Bug trap dynamic link library is not responding" or "has unexpectedly closed" errors are the most generic errors available on Windows and are nearly impossible to debug remotely, it's just guess work to do so. If it gives you an option to see the crash report, you may post it here and have better results, possibly. That depends if the issue is really in Abyss or not. (It can be caused by Abyss and be outside of it, of course.)

Does using the multi-client pose any risk of being banned?  (nexon can detect it?)

I suppose there is a chance but it's hard to know for sure. They're unlikely to look into it unless you decide to tell everyone you're using it.

I may sound like a total newb here, but how come after installing Abyss, the font is all weird and tiny? It's incredibly difficult to read.

If by "weird and tiny" you mean "awesome and efficient", then it's because Abyss makes the game use it's bitmap font for everything to get rid of the lag caused by the game's vector fonts. If you miss the lag, you can turn off bitmap fonts in the .ini file.

It may kill off the text lag, but it's still incredibly tiny and hard to read... >.>;

Yeah, though it's only an issue with the chat outside of the chat-log. If I open that, I can read it fine, it's just cut off at the top outside of the box.

Where is the ini file though? I'd imagine if I can change that(Which I've decided not to you =P), I can probably disable the party board housing thing? I really don't see the point in that, since housing boards are right next to party boards(unless it does something I'm unaware of)...it's just preventing me from entering a production party. =/

I actualy have no firewall that could be blocking it.

I had Abyss working perfectly fine on my computer and then when i decided to reformat it i reinstalled mabi and unofficial tiara and everything was working perfectly fine now i keep having a error saying "BugTrap dynamic link library is not responding" when i try to log in, if anyone has a fix for this please help ^^ Im sure its something simple like i forgot to install something when i reformated

That is a good question....I reformat on a regular basis and my desktop had it working right before I reformatted last week.

I downloaded Framework in hopes it would fix the problem i believe its the Crackshield im missing something to enable it to work. Because i cant double click to close the program any longer QQ

So yea not sure what fixed my problem however i did
-Install all Windows Updates
-Installed Autoit
-Removed McAfee
-Removed Norton
-Installed AVG
and now its working fine

Windows 7 in the last 2 updates, the client stops responding right after i press start game. +crackshield doesn't close with double click... this all works perfectly fine on my windows vista U:
