Normally that type of response irritates me, i personally think it's better to just not say anything if that's all you have to contribute.

That said, i want to side with Pr0boszcz this time.  @chaoss241 don't be afraid to put in a little effort.  If you have a hard time finding what you're looking for, make it clear to us that you've at least attempted to do some research, and not make it look like you want the golden platter.  It also helps, if you post in a relevant topic or create your own thread, and not just post in a popular thread.

Again, if you make it clear you've attempted to seek out answers on your own, i'm sure people would be more than glad to help.  But most of us are rather stingy with our freebies.

should you know how to do the rest of the work, that is the correct file.
there's also another file, in which you can do other things.

Is there a way for me to use a different font other than the one that comes with Abyss?

I have a font I really liked using back in Korean Mabinogi and I want to use it in this version too, but no matter what I do, I can't seen to get it working :/

turn off bitmap font options in abyss
use a custom font file in a *.pack file. (It's a *.ttf file, that'll help u)

Heyo, So I've been trying to install abyss, and i keep running into an issue when launching the game, it comes up with a "Mabinogi has stopped running" window, I've tried all things suggest on the README_Abyss file, and i continue to run into the issue, I'm not sure if its because I'm on older computer or anything like that. It was suggested to me i post the problem here. Please help qq, i posted a similar thread on Tech Support.

Are you leaving any files related to PowerPatcher or any .pack tools in your mabinogi folder?
Are you using a custom *.pack file?
Are you using a data folder?
Are you using Pake?
Do you have DEP enabled?
Does it give you anything else, or is it just a generic APPCRASH?
Is wersvc disabled?

I'm not using direct launcher, I'm fairly new to modding and not at all knowledgeable about it, i dont have anything related to powerpatcher downloaded, nor any .pack tools/files, I am not using a pake, i dont know what DEP, nor wersvc are and regarding the app crash it gives me a windows diagnosis type window. it goes from the start page (Capture.PNG) and straight to the app fail window (Capture1.PNG)

I don't mind answering questions as long as people are trying and not just asking for things to be handed to them~

drop it in the same folder as your Client.exe
example, this is (part) of my folder:
(my directlaunch is Mabinogi.exe, here. You don't need to rename it, but I have.)

Well silly me forgot i removed abyss, so i got it to launch without abyss, but i tried it with abyss and ended up back at square one..QQ

Downloaded through steam?
Use the Nexon account details you linked to steam. (E-Mail/Password, unless your on a REALLLLLLY old NX account, then User/Pass)

You may also need to be running it as an administrator, i forget, since i'm on root admin account...

Type "Advanced System Settings" into start menu, click this:


go to this tab:


click this button:


go to this tab and make sure it's set like this:


if you had to change it, restart pc.

my DATAPacker says, "No changes found" ...  I made data folder and did everything that's asked too(data>gfx>font>a tff file of my choice).  I need an adult.

Use Logue's Mabipacker and make a custom *.pack file.
set it to the current correct version (245), and set the compression level to "1 - fast".
drop it in packages, and set it to read-only.

To add on this, the data packer has been claimed to work by users... But for the most part we consider it broken.  Logue's is the new method we use, as Nano detailed.
