Can i get some help? I installed Abyss by dragging and dropping but when I start mabinogi it just goes straight to "mabinogi has stopped working" after the start game button. I can only mabinogi clean but when either abyss or tiara is installed it crashes. The abyss_patchlog.txt says

When I delete ijl11.dll and rename the .dat to .dll it works  but then abyss is removed and the game is running clean. Any ideas?

I tried using the same files on my laptop and it was working perfectly, i don't think it is my files and I tried without a data folder and only abyss installed but it still does that. Any other ideas?

Make sure to either allow the mabi directory, or abyss specifically, through your anti-virus.
Make sure essential windows features are updated, i'm not sure this is a big deal anymore, but in the past one of the microsoft features would cause issues if not updated to a certain version.

There's also the possibility of needing to change your DNS to Google. How much of the FAQ did you try exactly?

Tried everything, oddly it worked when I tried it on a win10 machine but not on a win7 so I just updated to win10 and it worked without any changes.

Any thoughts on why I rubber band a lot with this mod installed? It's like constant rubber banding and it makes the game unplayable really. I really love the mod and want to keep it though!

Alright, so my bf and I did some testing tonight.
Last night I had this random disconnect and had the NGS error but turns out it wasn't related to Abyss.
However, when I restarted my client, I had crashed about instantly after talking to my spirit weapon and hovering over an inventory item to give him.
I turned off True Dura/Colour and Ego Desire and now I'm working just fine without crashing. I told my boyfriend it was probably stupid to assume that it had anything to do with Dura, because diamonds don't have durability anyway! So he went and shut off his Ego Desire but left Dura/Colour on and he's working just fine. (:

I just wanted to point out that Ego Desire is causing me a weirdo crash issue!

Well, yesterday I was experiencing NGS errors even in the unmodded client, using Nexon Laucher.

Today I just defragged my PC (as it was time for a clean up) and Mabi ran just fine (Modded client, using Mabi Direct Launcher).  I've just finished playing.

Step 1 : Open Abyss.rar the delicious beef
Step 2: Drag files from Abyss.rar folder to Mabi directory where client is without having Abyss folder so it doesnt stick to the pan
Step 3: Enjoy your spicy meatballs~

Nevermind the Abyss including in Tiara mod is outdated. Replaced it with a fresh one from here to test and it doesn't kick me anymore.

Just for letting other users know...
Abyss contained in Tiara, PlayPack, or any other places Blade has given the go ahead, are likely unable to keep up with the incredible rate of updates due to NGS.

So always update directly from Blade's site if an issue occurs
