Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

The first 2 links for download are currently down.  I believe that Blade is in the process of rectifying this.  I'm pretty sure that he's aware.  So... Please everyone take it easy, it will be back. :)  He's trying to set things up for the long term.  This will take time of course.  In the meantime, the ShaggyZE link (where we host Tiara) does work and is verified as latest.  Please, have at it if you wish.

I could probably add ways to automatically bypass, but then they would find another, more complicated way that may make it impossible for me to keep the project working. The same goes for any other project. In fact, other projects may force Nexon's hand in making it so they detect memory mods instead of anything else. The way I keep Abyss updated is simple and quick. I'd rather not force them to make up new ways to detect Abyss that would in turn make it harder on myself.
Indeed, it seems better to play whack-a-mole for the time being to keep them busy instead of letting them figure out how to nuke the whole field...lol
E = mc² actually stands for Enjoyment = (Modifying the Client)². The more Mods you have, the Enjoyment increases exponentially.

Just so you know, when you open Dressing Room, it boots you from game;
I pretty much turned off every abyss options except view range, name color, and dungeon map.
Other than that, it seems working fine. But, I wonder if this is just happening to me or not.

+I don't have any other mods installed. Just abyss and its few options.

I'm currently using it and the Dressing Room works fine for me.  AFAIK anyone else on staff at least aren't having any issues with this.  I'll look into it though and post at the bottom of this response...
Something to check into is your packs though.  You want the last 2 packs, 232_to_233.pack, and language.pack (for example) to be roughly the same date and time.  If they're not, then this may be the source of your problems.  We'll start with that for now...

Another thing to check is to make sure you indeed have the latest Abyss.  Please note the date on the thread, and if you haven't downloaded that date or after, you may want to grab it now.

All I could remember is only getting Dressing Room crash when I tried to open it inside buildings like Alban Knight's Training Lobby though that was long ago. The recent Abyss doesn't do that for me.

Does it have to be exactly same time?
232_to_233.pack was created on 8/9/16 2:13pm (33,026 KB)
language.pack was created on 8/9/16 2:00pm (3,332 KB)

And yes, I've downloaded latest version like yesterday. Question is, how do I get new 232_to_233.pack and language pack?
I'll re-run Mabi with Abyss and see how it goes, for now.

+ EDIT
Looks like it works ... BUT...
it crashes when I open dressing room in BANGOR. Can someone please check whether you're fine opening dressing room in Bangor?

++ EDIT 2
This is very weird. I tried to open dressing room from following places for making sure.
- Alby Lobby  (Worked fine)
- Tir Chonail  (Worked fine)
- Gairech (Front of Bangor gate) (Worked Fine)

Then I went in Bangor, dressing room was totally fine. Reason I reported this crashing thing is that, I tried to open dressing room in Bangor and everytime when I did that, it booted me from game. Not just once but 4 times. Oh wells, this can be memory related issue but we will see how this goes.

++ EDIT 3
Okay I give up. It just booted me again in Bangor.

CPU and memory issues often can be due to overheating.  Overheating can be caused by lack of airflow, a clogged heatsink fan combo/heatsink (if passive cooling), other cases could be liquid cooling issues if your PC uses that, hard drive errors due to overheating and age  (people forget that hardware does wear out over time 5-7 years in some cases)--the list goes on and on as far as overheating but...
The most common problem and that has the simplest solution as long as you know what you're doing is....  *drum roll please*

*as far as the the above, I figured might as well have some fun with it  8)

Thing I don't understand is, when I don't have abyss with me, dressing room does not make any trouble like this though.
It only happens after installing abyss. I usually clean up my PC every 2~3 weeks so, that cannot be the reason.

But anyways, thanks for help.

That is odd.  The only really way to know though, is get rid of the Abyss you have.  Purposefully download the latest from the ShaggyZE mirror (not sure if others are up yet).  Then try that.  After that it's settings in the ini file to rule out.  Your Abyss_patchlog.txt is going to be the key here if you see any "FAILS' in there.  The other thing is if you used any other mods in the past that may have affected your files.  Tiara, FrontEnd, PowerPatcher, DataPacker, etc.  The first 3 are relatively safe and pretty good about cleaning up their messes, but if misused you can cause issues.  The last one if you delete your data folder before removing mods, you can mess up your packs.  Otherwise, the next step aside from possible pack issues, if you have the latest Abyss... Is to check your different files in the root directory for Mabinogi.  All that I mentioned just now is dependent on if you ever used anything else though.

Otherwise, some things to try are:
Remove old versions of Abyss if you have them.  Blade has the original dll on the first post. Or... just rename the .dat file to .dll if it exists.
If using the Nexon Launcher version, run file integrity check/repair where it checks the files.
If using the Steam version they have a similar option.  (I helped a person earlier today that fixed their issue in a chat.)

She said this earlier.
+I don't have any other mods installed. Just abyss and its few options.
So...
Being that was ruled out, hence the response.
(Doesn't mean there wasn't "any" other mods installed in the past that could mess with things.)  I was attempting to cover all that was left instead of playing cat and mouse or rather PONG back and forth all day...  (Not a fan of PONG.)

You do make a valid point though.  Thank you for that.
Code: [Select]
;Forces the Client read from the data folder before the pack files.
DataFolder=1
This is in the normal Abyss.ini.

"Any other mods", means no data folder normally.  Also, this means that normally, that option to read data folder would be turned off by her.  However, since this isn't necessarily a normal thing, that should be checked too.  (Data folder is other mods).  So being that's normally on...  IF a data folder exists (past mods).  There you go.

Not in my experience.  First thing I ask about is the data folder in most cases because a lot of people don't realize that's mods and Abyss will load them automatically.  People think it's a normal folder and don't realize stuff in there is auto-loaded.  And it's the most likely thing to cause weird issues.

How do you update the setting Json file because mines looks like this
{
  "clientLocation": "",
  "customLaunchParams": "",
  "customLaunchParamsEnabled": false,
  "injectionDelay": "",
  "injectionDll": "",
  "exitAfterSuccessfulInjection": false,
  "injectionProcScanTimer": ""
}
I asked some people who also use abyss and they have it filled.

That should auto update itself on exit or if you save/update settings. Are you running this in admin mode?

Oh that did the trick thanks. Not sure if that effects multi-client but when l try to, only one client stays online. The other client's get NGS. Going to try to multi now with the Launch Client feature from the abyss injector.

Oh yes, I don't have Data folder at all. (I mean, nothing at all, including those data folder related unpack stuffs. Just Abyss.)
Plus, DataFolder= is set as 0.  All I wanted is pretty much Dungeon Fog Clear and Vision Range from Abyss.

And seems it's not just Bangor problem, I do get booted (with common Windows error window thing) from Tir Chonail as well so.
Anyways, I will try to re-install client first, just in case. After that, if it doesn't still work.. I guess I will have to stick with no-mod >.<;

EDIT

I reinstalled client and tried. Still boots me from game when I open dressing room.
Let me be clear though. What I need is just copy paste abyss.ini to mabinogi folder, and launch with injector, correct?
Even after reinstalling client and boots me from game, it seems there's something wrong my PC then.
Though, it's not like my PC is totally crap, since I can run Vindictus, Movie Player(while I watch something) and Mabinogi at the same time without any problem. I... seriously have no idea.

I will live without abyss for now until there's actual way to clean this problem. Thanks for spending your time for my annoying trouble though :) Have a nice day~!

You need to have software that can extract compressed packages. I'm guessing you don't have any based on what you're describing. I would recommend 7zip: http://www.7-zip.org/
