Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

I clean installed Mabinogi VIA Nexon Launcher, after continuing to get NGS Kicked after 5-10 min of play, I completely removed all traces of Mabinogi on my computer, and then tried it installing through steam, still getting the same result, NGS error after 5-10 min, I then even tried the game with mods, and that didn't help either, but I will add, Steam increased my framerate a lot apperently. :P

Yeah sounds like NGS is beginning to be glitchy again. I have Tiara and Abyss injected to Mabi and have not experience any kicks. There's no actual fix to it as many suggest reinstalling or turning off firewall but many still experience problems of kicks from NGS. You can try a little later if anyone in the Nexon forums have contact a GM to look into it.

Hey Blade3575, I have a theory. Crackshield used to use dinput8.dll, and I noticed that ReShade (ENB/SweetFX alternative) uses it as well and Mabi will load that without NGS throwing a fit.

Is it possible Abyss could use that?

try Downloading the clean ijll11.dll

Tried it, Lasted 6 minuites 34 seconds before I was NGS'd.
Appears there isn't a fix yet atop of that.
From what I've seen, we've been told.
"It's a matter we're having a special look into."
Beyond that, nothing.

Anyone got any ideas?

Which one are you using though? I'm having a hard time with this Injector thing. I made a post under the tech forum, but I figured posting here might help me out some. I don't like being one of those people who have no idea what the fak to do besides ask questions but I'm really at a loss here, so I apologize if this isn't the proper place for this.  :-\

Hmm the last person you quoted use the second download injector, RemoteDLL. Your other thread in tech said your pc is detecting them as malware and it's possible if it does. My pc detected one of the downloads but you can choose to ignore it or optional take if you feel safer is by searching a downloadable injector elsewhere.
Anyways, you have to run the programs, either one, in admin and inject the .dll (best to rename it) and have to inject to the client (read what possible timing needed to inject by older posts here). You don't have your spec written down so if you're using 64x vs 32x on your pc it won't work too.

Looks like people are using things called PerX and RemoteDLL. I couldn't find a download for PerX so I downloaded RemoteDLL; but it says I need the PID? I can't find that for Mabinogi, even if I run Task Manager as admin, compared to running it with CTRL+Alt+Delete. I've checked Services, but I literally can't find the Client.exe PID.

Also, thanks Blade for updating so quickly. U da man

Do a dry run.  Load Mabinogi with Remote running.  Then look in your programs under remote.  Grab Client.exe from there.  Then close Mabinogi.  This worked for me.  Do be sure to check out the readme for it though.  Good luck.

You don't name it to ijl11.dll anymore. NGS is likely to detect the changes in ijl11.dll now so it's meant to either kept as Renameme.dll or put something random. An injector is needed to insert the Renamedme.dll only.

Ah okay that makes since then I guess I misjudged that then so would that mean that I need the "ijl11.dat", the rename me file, and a separate clean version of "ijl11.dll" so that you dont get an error for the game not being able to find the "ijl11.dll" in the mabi directory

There is a clean ijl11.dll download at first page of this thread in first post, just have to look for it. Old Abyss file .dat rename to .dll to fix it is fine too however we don't need ijl11.dat in the Mabi folder anymore to use Abyss. You can attempt on the inject once you have that fix up.

Yeah I did that already I downloaded it and saved it, seems to still be crashing me now my client wont even open, also should "ijl15.dll" be in there or no? Sorry for the excessive questions lol, I usually figure this out on my own just messing around but this is over my head.

My folder doesn't have ijl15.dll so I assume no. Does Mabi run fine without Abyss being injected?

Yeah it does hmm, I think I might know why it isn't working you said something about needing to use and injector for adding dlls into the directory and that might be why it isn't working for me I've always dragged and dropped but I try finding a injector unless do you have a recommendation for a reliable one?

Blade had provide 2 optional injector downloads in the first page. When you download your pc might detect it being a threat and that's being a false positive, can be ignored. You could search up different injectors if you do not prefer the two options given. Either one works fine from my experience after a few test, just run as admin and inject to client.exe. Keep on mind the downloads are for 64x not 32x.

So I have no idea how Abyss works. Normally I just unzip the files in my Mabinogi folder, and it will work.

This time I unzipped Abyss in Mabinogi folder, which contains just the Abyss.ini and RenameMe.dll, and it didn't work. It is playing as if it is a clean client. I tried adding the ijl15.dll and ijl11.dll in the folder and it still doesn't work.

If possible can someone give me step by step instructions?

Thanks in advance.

To get rid of Abyss you have to delete ijl15.dll, Abyss.ini, Abyss_patchlog.txt, dinput8.dll, HSLaunch.exe and HSUpdate.vbs. Then you have to rename ijl15.dat to ijl15.dll. If you delete it for some reason there will be one uploaded to this post.

Okay, I read everything above. Let me download Abyss!

Update Log:

The first post has details.  Make sure you don't have any unnecessary/obsolete abyss files naturally.  DL the latest abyss, renameme.dll.  Use an injector of your choice, blade has listed 2 possible ones, personally i'm using remotedll.  I don't use the right click menu, i inject before NGS pops up, primarily thanks to the graphics warning i get since mabi don't like my graphics card.  I have had no obvious issues, have played for a prolonged period of time without any NGS error.

Place the new abyss files in your mabi directory, as well as RemoteDLL. (you can use PerX too, but these instructions are for RemoteDLL)

Open RemoteDLL, launch mabi, then click process and scroll down, selecting Client.exe. Then click DLL and select the Abyss.dll (or whatever you have it named as). Then click Load DLL.

This needs to be done around the time the NGS logo pops up.

DataPacker still functions with its name intact for me. Can't say for sure for MabiPacker.

I changed the names just to be safe, but I seem to be getting NGS there is supposed to be an "ijl11.dll" as well as "ijl11.dat" in your mabi directory right? I did the inkect everything works fine now but I'm getting NGS I wasnt sure though if I was supposed to have those 2 "ijl11.dlls" in there if it wasnt necessary because of the "RenameMe.dll"

The original ijl11.dll stays, the RenameMe.dll should not be renamed to ijl11.dll or any of the Mabi's current .dll files. Change the RenameMe.dll to something else or keep the original name. ijl11.dll with ijl11.dat from old Abyss are no longer needed to use Abyss but you must at least have the clean ijl11.dll (first post download section) to run Mabi.
