Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

sometimes selecting the windows from taskbar doesn't always work either, but alt+tab tends to make it active if all else fails

I always had a problem with any kind of input if I used Alt+Tab to switch between windows when using Multi Client.

dunno, suppose it would need testing on several os's to find the proper methods, though whenever i multi-client it's just for botting so in that sense i'm hooking the keyboard to the client windows based off different window captions which is probably why i've never had an issue, either that or because i've always stayed on windows 7 except for when testing patchers.

It seems killing NGS/Blackchiper doesn't solve the detection problem. Any idea?

I think there was an update in the scooter maintenance that kicks you with abyss installed. There's another forum page with these issues, and if you scroll down to the comments you'll see that abyss does not work, data packer does not work, custom packs DO work, and tiara does not work as of now

uo tiara does work right now, it can be made into a custom pack just like any other data folder mod, read the guides on "that other forum page"

It's odd, but I've been using Abyss with custom data folder long before the ToS enforcement and it's still working fine for me.
Question to those having troubles: have you updated Abyss to most recent version and cleaned up all the deprecated files?
If so, it may require some more investigation... Maybe some speciffic option is triggering the kick?

it could just be random, dependent on OS or a million other unknown factors or third party programs or filenames being detected and it's going to take a lot of investigating, i myself haven't tried logged in since May 18th so i don't really have the time to troubleshoot it.

Welp... My last statement about not getting kicked is no longer valid...
Today got back from work to see the nice message. On the laptop I'm playing, the only things they could detect is abyss and custom data folder. Clean Mabi runs fine so far.

Try disabling Abyss's DataFolder=0 patch in Abyss.ini and pack your data folder mods into the package folder using MabiPacker, for more information regarding NGS detection see here The Anti-Mod Feature

UPDATE: Since the last maintenance, closing NGS will get you kicked after some time.
I have got 3 Mabi's running simultaneously and logged in with NGS active. None of them were kicked out (Duration 1 day until I shutdown my computer).

Uhm... But I had it always running and until now no problems.

As for disabling data folder, gonna try it. For now was trying out using just a custom package, and that seems to be fine.

Update:
Got kicked with Abyss, DataFolder=0 and custom pack (yup, deleted the data folder too).
Gonna try running with just the pack for now.

Update2:
Have been running clean Mabi with just a custom pack for a while without problems.
Launched another instance, played for almost 3h with Abyss and even Morrighan and didn't get kicked.
For that note... Those 2 NGS packets are a bit odd... The data that client sends look kind of like random dumps from game's memory.

I have not been able to use mods for about a week. I cant figure out for the life of me how to get tiara to work. I decided to try and use just abyss. i extracted abyss.rar contents into my mabinogi folder, i also made datafolder=0. (although i dont seem to have a data folder) I launch my game via the client.exe. My game crashes about a few seconds after it starts up, no error message or anything?

Not sure if i am supposed to pack anything.. i tried to use logue's packer and cant figure that out either... can anyone help me out? I have not been able to figure this stuff myself after spending hours on this...

Thanks  :)

Try repairing you client via Nexon Launcher and reinstalling. Worked for me after constant client crashes and NGS kicking me. (I use Tiara)

The uses of slash commands cause the games to crash any reason why?

So far all of the options shown in the spoilers are working fine.
Along with some of the other options in Abyss that i don't have enabled are working as well.

Also data folder read option in Abyss seems to work for me now. I tested it out earlier this morning. UO Tiara data folder is what im using. After i updated my data folder and removed some edits that were causing me to crash i got it to work.
At the moment I am using no custom.Pack mods and no DATAPacker. Just the data folder and Abyss for force data folder read.
-Like so, Look Below-
Code: [Select]
;Forces the Client read from the data folder before the pack files.
DataFolder=1

Please Give Thanks If Helped. ^^

read Abyss.ini, the answer is right their.
Code: [Select]
;Change the default range attack:
; 1 = Magnum Shot
; 2 = Arrow Revolver
; 3 = Support Shot
; 4 = Crash Shot
; 5 = Mirage Missile
; 6 = Urgent Shot
; 7 = Spirit Bow Awakening
DefaultRangeSwap=2

okay so just to be clear you tried in with a slash command and with DefaultRangeSwap=2, ie no spaces like you have in your last post correct?
if after restarting the game it still does not work then check Abyss_patchlog.txt to see if DefaultRangeSwap is failing to patch, it may be broke atm.

That patch may say it's working when it's not. It's kind of a troublesome patch that way. Would end up breaking more often if I did anything to make sure it's the right one, though I probably should so people know for sure.

EDIT: It is working fine for me though.
