Yep, Yer using auto control of visual field.
Its bugged with girgashiy raid and causes crashes. Disable it and you should be fine.

For some reason last game update that brought the events caused abyss to cause the client.exe to not run. Powerpatcher launcher didn't work with it installed either. Is there an abyssless version of the anti-shake mod?

Uhm... Client is still working fine for me. Didn't have any problems when launching it after update.

After the current Update, my Abyss stopped working. Not sure why. Just isn't working. Going to try re-Installing Abyss to see if it fixes.

Uhm... Client is still working fine for me. Didn't have any problems when launching it after update.

Well.. Not broken for everyone. So I don't think that is entirely the case. I was just posting what was happening to my client for the Mod Creator to be aware .

Ehh, I wouldn't say broke Abyss entirely. Abyss works fine with the exception of bugs that have gone on as stated in previous posts. Atleast, with me it is working and some of my associates it does. If anyone else is having problems with Abyss not functioning on startup  I'd advise completely removing all elements of Abyss from your folder and running the game without any sort of modifications on it (basically running vanilla mabi), after you successfully login and such then exit and reinstall Abyss. That usually is what solves problems like this for me.  It may be a solution to those who are having similar problems with Abyss not functioning after the update as well. Hope that helped someone!

Running hsupdate.vbs can fix the security issues without having to remove Abyss.

Also move your data folder somewhere else or rename it to something that does not start with the word "data" to make sure it's not outdated data folder mods.

Also try toggling various options on and off in the Abyss.ini to see if it's one of those.

Re-installing Abyss fixed my problem. This may not work for everyone. But it wouldn't hurt to try for those who we're having issues with the recent patch.

    Make sure you have run the Client clean for any updates to HackShield or NexonGuard.
    Extract the files from Abyss.rar and place them in your Mabinogi folder.
    Run HSLaunch.exe; if you forget you will be prompted to run it when trying to log in.
    Before updating your Client when there's an update, be sure to close HSLaunch.exe

Uh My mabinogi folder has an appdata and a patchdata folder are the files just supposed to be floating in the mabinogi folder or should I move them into the appdata or patchdata folder? If I move them to the appdata/patchdata folder should just float around in there or do I put them into a folder within the appdata/patchdata folder?

Extract the files in to your Appdata.

Steam Install. NLauncher install acted the same last I had tried.

You could try copying the Hshield folder and Hsupdate.vbs file to a folder that doesn't have spaces in the name and run it?

That made HSUpdate work but didnt solve the issue of the client exe not opening as a task.

By the way if anyone will encounter an issue with unziping/unraring the archive - should update their software they use for that.

I used to download the archive some time ago, but my WinRar end up unraring all the files being empty (damaged, 0 bytes),
though I thought, maybe archive was really damaged, and just forgot about it for a while. Today, figured out that it acts the same way.
So I tried to use 7z for those purposes, and it worked well. Before I was using WinRar 3.71 for a while, but seems that from some time,
the archive is being compressed with algorithm it can't read.

Sandvich, try adding it to the windows DEP exception list.

justsux, that version of WinRAR is 7 years old, so not even mentioning that the archive is a 7z this time, it'd probably be RAR5 if it was .RAR anyways.
