Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

because I get email notifications every time an idiot makes a post crap

p.s. no one can help you if you don't provide information.
expect no help.
Seems hard for the guy to get the idea that he needs to read things beforehand posting.

Pretty simple that they'll likely have a Windows 8 system because most of our cutscene crashers are confirming to using Windows 8.1 systems.
Funny enough this problem have been mention BUNCH of times in the previous post yet the search bar or trying to read back a page or two seems tough.

Simple fix to cutscene crashers. Remove Abyss completely or use Tiara cutscene skips.

why is every time i post your around some stalker crap

Check your actions in this forums. So far from what I seen in your posts most of the things you requests can be look up by guides to fixing or looking up these answers from the search bar yet you're insisting people to keep helping you in everyway like catering for you. If you want help you have to remind yourself these.
1. Search before posting, if it's been answered before, do the steps and see if it helps.
2. Read guides. Can't get it around the first time? Re-read the guide again.
3. Provide information. What thatguysteve says about the OS is necessary since not all laptop/pc are the same and most problem could be because of the system. Are you using Abyss, Tiara, Steam, direct launch? Upon doing what and how often it happens? Provide all of these.

Least we can be on common grounds now? Well less likely on thatguysteve's point. (again the answer for the cutscene skip is up there, why you no read?)

Sigh. We Windows 8.1 users have it tough. Most likely the problem should be labeled in the front page but what am I saying, half the time no one reads they just download and ask the repetitive questions and hope for the answer when it was answered pages ago.

Assuming people find the download link.  More people have realized it now than in the past, but people used to ask where the download link was, cuz it was placed in a spoiler in the hopes people would read.

"Alright I have read all now here's the download-"
Finally I found the download link.

Post: "Hey I have a problem with-"
Oh wow I have a problem that isn't 'posted' yet. I should post my question and see if anyone has the answer to it.

I am really hoping they were reading the whole posts not the first few words. But that dream is out the window.
Oh well still have to keep answering questions unless it's posted already, still answer it but obviously still 'point out' it was posted like 2 pages before they posted.

Glad I waited before posting...  I was "crafting" a post this morning and was about to submit it, when I trash-canned it.  I did this because I wanted to see who else would post similar.  Case in point here, there are a LOT of people here that have common ground and think alike.  If we don't, then we can at least find common ground somewhere.

@cjm249
I get these notifications as well as many others do, though not pushed to my phone directly.  Please, for the love of God or whatever deity you believe in... Please make your posts informative, or rather at the very least worth reading if you're going to post.  Please.

Well done sir.  Handled much better than i would have liked to have done.
@Fl0rn, like you I realized awhile ago that the answers are there, though not immediately available in some cases (they have to use the search bar or read a bit.) In which case if I know it's there, then I won't respond anymore.

@cjm249 , I've searched your posts as well, this isn't "stalker-ish", it's called being smart and well-informed.
THIS:
omfg keep crashing at aahm boss cutscene wtf
IS NOT it...  Please make the effort to actually type intelligible sentences, I realize we shorten things at times, and talk things like LOL, BTW, etc, but... Other than that "texting/text speak" has no real place in society or on a forums when asking for help or trying to communicate effectively.

I just rather keep this forum running smoothly even if there's hefty amount of repost questions. Likely the post would have go the wrong turn if that small conversation keeps sliding but if the guy isn't going to learn it's rather challenging. On the common grounds part, was having decisive word choice, rather not say "Just respect each other" or "Behave", too demanding.

I agree on the keeping things running smoothly part.  However, I recently realized that sometimes we have to separate the wheat from the chaff.  If one chooses to take anything anyone says one way, one must realize that there are many ways to interpret pretty much any post.  thatguysteve, for example used to rub me the wrong way, but then I learned and started to understand where he was coming from  (Sorry steve, was using you as an example).  I realized that there are choices to be made on some people's parts.  This is theirs alone to do.  I admit I like the sitcom Scrubs, for its humor, and lessons that are embedded all over in it.  I don't feel I've disrespected anyone in particular, but this is my view point... Mind you I could've done worse lol.  I "chose" not to.  Now one must make a choice or rather several perhaps and learn.  People learn differently and even via different methods I've seen.  Sometimes, some need a "verbal" slap to the face or the rather 'in your face" methods out there in order to learn.  I've meant no malice in my words...

I gotta say, i'm normally the one who will see questions and ignore most of them.  It's typically cuz they're either reposts or asking questions clearly outlined in a sticky that has an obvious title.  Don't necessarily have to read all of the sticky, but if you're asking questions in regards to something, and such a source is readily available, i encourage the reading of it.  Outside of those situations, i admittedly see quite a few questions that are just over my head, i lack the experience or plain knowledge to help.  I typically track these myself though, if i understand the basis, for knowledge sake.

There are certain situations i will jump in to though, especially when i see what might turn into a flame war.  And sorry, but this makes a prime example

ah omfg like no way if only we had some more information like your os and crap wtf

That post is just asking for a fight.  Do i agree with the point?  100%.  The wording though, i don't feel has a place in a thread like this.  I try to be careful to choose less offensive wording, and try to point them where to go to find their info if it's clearly outlined.  In the case it isn't, i try to remember to explain what info they need to provide and that certain info is always helpful in troubleshooting problems, or in the case of mabi certain xmls always lead to problems nearly every update.

In the situation i quoted, if i check right after it happens and the problem is still ongoing, i'm prone to jump in and scold the instigator, supply the needed info or point the seeker in the right direction, and let whoever's asking questions know that they need to check the stickies and recent post of wherever they posted, for info regarding their current situation.

Usually, this draws the instigator's attention, since i just got onto them for trying to make the same point i would make, and the other person gets his answer and don't really care after that.  If the problem persists after that... well there's a report feature or more likely by that point forum staff notice anyway/before i read any more, so it don't matter anyway. XD

And make no mistake, i'm not particularly interested in reporting people.  If the matter seems to be subsiding, or i take the brunt of the anger, i deal with it in some manner.  It's extremely rare i report for my sake, i'd rather just let the matter subside on its own usually.

Rambled, sorry.

I'm just too generous with just helping people really.
I would answer and simply put try finding the answer next time, sorta like scolding but mostly just keep repeating it over and over.
The next time they do it I just say try harder then the answer.
Just keep insisting them to keep trying. I just encourage rather than going bashing them. I'm too stubborn with changing this idea. Slap me on the wrist.

Each person has their own methods.  Just like each person has their own list of pet peeves and things they just won't participate in.

To me, i can't stand anyone who comes in and is rude and outright demands help.  I may not be outright spiteful or insulting, but i will be rude and refuse help.

I don't like people who want to volunteer help to others, and go so far as to expect that everyone else drop what they're doing to help any given person regardless of the situation.  Volunteering help is a courtesy you afford others, if you have the time and patience, not a right to be handed out.  I don't actually see that on this site normally, thankfully.

Aside from that, there's people who i probably rub the wrong way, or may come across as rude to, unintentionally.  I'm bad about using one of two approaches, one is my normal just say w/e rambling.  The other is pure business, which is what i use for placing requests/help and irl when i get involved in doing physical/menial labor.  Latter i'm extremely blunt and try to be fact only, with very little mincing of words and about the only thing personal reflection i try to show, is that i feel you need a point of reference/source, when dealing with pretty much anything.  I have people mistake that straightforwardness for shortness or hatefulness though, and i've gotten jumped a few times for trying to be purely factual.

Understandable. We have our methods of handling the situation. Hope there will be no bad terms in our times here, rather not get off on the wrong foot.

Funny story, for me anyway.  Cousins both younger than me but not significantly, boy is younger than girl.  Boy was saying something, in it was the word 'hue,' as in colors.  Girl gets mad and tells him 'not to use big words!'  Amused me for a few days after.

Aye, tis very true. I have pet peeves I admit.  I'm all one for giving help, but not handing things to people on a silver platter.  I'm also one for advocating people that make efforts to learn, and aspire to better themselves in some way.  Maybe not necessarily in regards to the things that we do here.

To me, i can't stand anyone who comes in and is rude and outright demands help.  I may not be outright spiteful or insulting, but i will be rude and refuse help.
Agreed.  I'm one for showing them where something is if I've seen that a certain subject is hard to find info on... Otherwise, if I know it can be found fairly quickly... (I validate this via the search bar and google with the site: flag.)  Then I leave one to their own designs and devices...

Aye, quoted for truth here.  People often forget that none of us are paid to do this, it's something we do as a hobby or passion.  I quote Tony Stark here: "I will serve at the pleasure of myself.  One thing that I've proven is that you can count on me, to pleasure myself."
That about says it.  If it's not fun, then why do it?

I can relate.  I've been a reluctant leader in many situations in the public, private, and gov't sectors.  I'm working on being able to see many points of view at all times, this can be challenging at times.

I've been called on this many times even as a child and still to this current day.  I can talk like an avg teenager, or talk and write as educated as a college/intellectual.  This varies of course.  Big words?  How about those out there try to aspire to be better than you are?  I had to, and I don't regret it.  This might sound arrogant to some, but it's part of the reason why we're here.  The other part is to have fun while doing it. ;)

I understand some people feel insecure, especially when they get into a conversation where they can't follow 50%+ of the conversation.  I've been there.  To me, that's why i research and memorize words.  Not so i can throw it in people's face, to show i know big words, or even to come across as educated.  It greatly frustrates me to see words i don't know, and have no clue what they mean, even with context clues, and i still get in those situations.  Asking repeatedly, not what a word means, but what an entire sentence means or what exactly is being discussed, is embarrassing in front of people who treat the topic as common knowledge.

When i use big words, it's simply words that either pop to mind or because i think it's the most accurate word to portray what i want or reflects my personal interest more accurately than another word.  Angry versus frustrated versus infuriating.  They can all be roughly the same thing, but sometimes you just feel one word is a more accurate portrayal.

As for understanding viewpoints, i'll simply say i do attempt that.  I don't always agree with other viewpoints, and since i'm no professional or getting paid, i have no reason to attempt and be sympathetic to such people.  And i'll stop there, this is a matter i'd ramble on for a good time about, and i'm trying not to make a full page post.

And i'm going to bed, so y'all won't have to worry about my rambling essays for a few hours. XD

Depending on your OS, if you're using Windows 8.1 you're likely to have minor problems such as dungeon cutscene crashes. Which is easily fix with Tiara's dungeon boss cutscene skips. Overall most mods are working in Abyss, some are still being fixed.

Bug report: Secondary password is entered wrong if if the cursor moves over any part of the onscreen keyboard that's not a number or letter. After this happens, it continues spamming the error message whenever the cursor moves over the onscreen keyboard, which closes the confirmation message to close the client with out an external program like task manager. I'm getting this issue on windows7.

Abyss makes the modifications that are turned on in it's .ini file. The "read data folder" modification makes the client read from the data folder so data folder mods (such as texture changes) can be used without putting them in a .pack file

I snort so loudly when I read that.

There's nothing wrong, Nexon seems to have changed the controls for the Screenshot Mode without telling anyone. I remember thinking this was a bug a few months ago. The new way to rotate the camera around is to use the middle mouse button/wheel.
