You're using an older version of DataCami. I recognize those files right away at a glance.  That's been outdated for some time.  You have one particular file in there that gives it away.  chinese-warning.txt

All of those files are out of date and won't work.  They'll cause all sorts of issues.  I'd mention all of what's been updated since then, but the changes are too numerous to mention, you'd just be further ahead rebuilding your data folder.  Tiara's 198 along with my FULL update can get you a functioning data folder, but it won't have what DataCami has.  You're not missing much though if you go that route. Tiara has updated a lot since DataCami's 4.33AU1 release.  There's a version 5.0 out there, but it's not recommended as the source is dubious, and the files are almost identical to 4.33AU1.  Regardless, 4.33AU1 and 5.0 are outdated now, and non functional unless you make your own.   I'm trying to get in contact with Step yet, but haven't tried other means other than the forums, and acquaintances.

Another quick note. ..\data\db\ai is a specific folder for DataCami as well.

Didn't step quit mabi? Also, Yes I do have DataCami, and yes I also threw in Tiara 198 as well just to replace the files with tiara's. So, what do you recommend?

Report the posts.  Mods have cleaned up this thread before and requested that no tech support be posted in this thread, they be placed in tech support, if memory serves.  If the leeches have a harder time for it, so be it.

It's one of the reasons i don't post regularly.  Most the questions or tech support, is stuff i can recognize before i ever finish reading the post, and can search and have the solution to the problem pulled up in 5 seconds or less, after i decide to confirm and search the related problem.  That, and i'm not really playing the game unless it gets revamped to be more difficult again.  So i don't have much worth talking about here.

Won't be a problem for me anymore.  That will apply to Tiara or any other specific threads as well.  I admit I was more focused on the help aspect because yes, people do get fed up with repeating themselves over and over with the same stuff.  I learned by reading, and trial and error.  You'll note that in most of my posts.  I was trying to be more diplomatic than RTFM.  90%+ are self created end user problems due to failure to read or not do diligent research of their own.

To Fl0rn and Draconis: I don't mind when people are looking for help on this thread or people are helping them, but when the answer is posted on my opening post and not read, 99% of the time I won't bother responding to it. The only problem I have with what's going on this time is how long it's taking to figure out when it's clearly stated in my opening post. I guess I should make the NG update program so people can update NG and HS without taking CS or Abyss out.

I've noticed a lot of the posts on here are questions or complaints that something isn't working properly so I wanted to take the time to NOT be one of those people.

Thank-you Blade for all the work you do on Abyss!!!  It is thanks to your hard work that many people, myself included, are able to use these modifications.  Many people who use your mods should stop here and at least say "thank you" and/or "I appreciate it!"  People don't give you guys enough credit sometimes.  Don't let it get you down because there are many who truly appreciate it!  I apologize and regret that I didn't post a thank you sooner.

I would love to get into the modding community and perhaps one day become a contributing member but I am far from being on a level worthy of contributing at this time.

I love this mod, I use it all the time but I just got a pc with dual screens. The pc can run mabi fine but when i try to do the abyss mod the game wont even start up (maybe like once or twice) it starts up rarely -it takes a little while more than my laptop if it does decides to start up and I double checked this with both my laptop and pc so i can confirm that there is nothing wrong with the file or my pc. When I downloaded the ijl15.dll then boom! it starts up 1 second right after i click game launcher but no mods. the computer both have 8.1 64bit and that laptop is worse than my pc. please help!!

Anyone know why using the Party Board will crash most of the time when Abyss is installed? It seems very intermittent.

Also, after new update today I'm also unable to play as it gives a hackshield error when logging in. I ran hsupdate.vbs (yes, I terminated HShield first and then relaunched it after update) and also ran the normal launcher but it gave a patch error. Not sure if this is related to Abyss or not and could be that the service is in maintenance; though it says online that it is complete.

Anyway, thanks for this mod frontend. Some of the features are things that the game creators should have implemented to begin with. I appreciate that many of the modders are 'white hats' by adding features that aren't necessarily cheats but are features that promote healthier gameplay by eliminating annoying or redundant game design flaws.

If possible, it would be nice if someone figured out a way to 'End Conversation' with the press of a key -- boy does it make me angry when you have to actually click the button.

I'm able to use Abyss with R202 without issue. As far as I can tell, nothing has broken (though, I don't have all mods enabled).

You may need to run the client without CrackShield or Abyss running at all, to ensure that HackShield and NexonGuard have updated. If both have been updated and you're still having issues, could be something else is outdated.

You need to have crackshield closed in order to patch, and you need to be patched in order to log in.

Lately, my game will freeze at most "boss" cutscenes.
The two times I chose to wait it out, I'd crash half a minute later.

I'm not sure if it's Abyss's fault, but whenever I run into issues, they usually clear up without my mods. =/

FOV is down at this time.  There are a few other mods that don't work like giantcamerafix if you have it.  Be sure to check your logs please for status on your mods.
Also when referring to mod_sharker you may want to post in that thread please.  Keeps the mods and original makers of each project happy.

Weird, whenever I download Abyss I follow the steps and usually it just doesn't launch the gamer after "Game Start".

To better explain myself, I follow all the steps as the instructions are stated. I launch the HS then I launch mabinogi but whenever I click Game Start it just does nothing afterwards.
