Disable the VIP sign removal mod to stop crashing from insufficient funds while purchasing, bank withdrawals, and attempts to move nontransferable/non-tradable items.

This helps a lots actually. I was going through abyss slowly it figure out what was causing it. Kudos to you.

This also includes trying to NPC sell non-tradable things such as the SE pots, or when unequip a bag and you get the warning saying everything in it will be dropped. I forgot that was included when I almost tried to NPC an SE potion to my maid. I guess you guys could think of any other weird messages we get in-game, because the SM VIP code probably interferes with any number of them. :c

Yeah...an extreme inconvenience for many. I never really cared much for that window and don't mind closing it if I don't run the VIP.

How do I get multi-client to work with nexon launcher? I got abyss to work though. Was looking around but didn't find anything about it yet.

When I go to buy something either in housing or npc, mabinogi is frozen and unresponsive, why? I have the latest update (R197)

Disable NoSMVIPMessage. I'll have to look into that. It shouldn't be causing any problems.. Thanks shankyy for letting everyone, and myself, know about the issue.



As for everyone having problems with Multiclienting, go download MabiDirectLaunch on the first post as long as you play on NA and use that to launch your Client.

I tried that and the message keeps saying Failed to get parameters. I've tried it from my desktop, library/mabi, mabi/appdata and they all give me the same message. The Abyss.ini has multi turned on by default soo idk xD;

thanks for reply but it doesn't seem to work for me... im also using win 7. and I have tried all you have said but it keeps saying Mabinogi is running/same launcher etc. T_T

I was multiclienting before when tiara was working and all I had to do is just start mabi normally in the folder then once game is up I just had to right click the emblem from my game and just start up a new client... but it is not working for some reason...

Okay I got multi to work for me following SaraBBrown's post. Created a shortcut for the file that only says Client.exe and put the code in the target and now it works. Thanks

But now that this is fixed.. Im still running into this issue even though its disabled.

I would encourage prompting people to read and search for themself, possibly providing key search word(s) over simply spelling everything out for them.  I mean, searching for 'direct launch' in the search bar, first post returned a thread with only this post for me.

This is a bit redundant in that it's available on this site, but it's been bugging me that there is no clear topic for this subject.  Quick instruction how to do it from scratch, (there are no downloads) and then credits to the ones who have also listed this on various threads.

Anytime i refer to Mabinogi folder, or it is listed as a directory, then i am referring to the default location.  This will change if you changed the location of installation.  Guide is from WindowsXP, may differ slightly for other OS.

Navigate to your Mabinogi folder, C:\Nexon\Mabinogi.  Simplest method, right-click the Mabinogi.exe and copy.  Right click on any 'blank' spot in the mabinogi folder and paste a shortcut, do not paste an actual copy of the file.

On this new shortcut, right-click and select properties.  In the Target field, copy and paste the following:

You can change the shortcut's icon as well if you wish, and rename it whatever you want.  Just make sure it still has .exe at the end.  Double-click the shortcut to launch mabinogi.  It bypasses the launcher, meaning it won't permit updates.  It does NOT bypass hackshield.

I've been having this same issue. Constantly dcing...what's rly pissing me off tho is that everytime i try to get the Arc Lich Sketching quest, it dcs me. I can't stand this anymore. :C

Im not sure if i am the only one experiencing this.i believe that something is wrong with abyss as soon as i installed it then ran my game the loading screen would stop and not go any further.

I don't know why.... but for some reason every time i buy something or try to go to tnn my game freeze. It even happens when i try talking to some npcs at times. All i can say it only happens when i have Abyss on my computer. do anyone know whats going on?

Check the Abyss.ini and change "NoSMVIPMessage=1" to "NoSMVIPMessage=0"

Having the same issue as Drake117 but I am not finding any "NoSMVIPMessage=1" in my Abyss.ini. I can run clean just fine, but when I turn Abyss on, it will freeze or crash the game in just a few minutes.

Tried default.reg, fresh install, etc. No luck.

If it's the version of abyss previous to the current one, disable bundles. Check page 123 for instructions.

Does anyone crash when they trade ingame (both people already opened trade) and if either person puts stuff inside and then grabs another item from their inv. and switches the spot the item is currently on they crash. ex. I put a building block inside trade then grab another item such as a robe, while the robe is on the crusor i click on the block to switch items on the cursor then i crash. **it doesnt work to the person that did not accept trade but have the trade box ready to open.

Remove data folder. Or at least the text mods. Stuff in the 'data, code', 'data, xml', 'data, local', and um.. Yeah, I think that's it. Neat tip: actually open the files in those folders with notepad, see what's inside, look at a guide to see if you can replicate the mod. You can actually leave most of the data folder in that way.

I think that's the 'disable SMVIP' dealy. ctrl+f , type/paste "SMVIP"on page 124 for proper instructions.
Looking at a few pages previous, and their time stamps to be sure it's relevent to your current issue generally means you'll never have to post a repeat message that's already been resolved. c:
If not, try disabling bundles, instructions on page 123.
If a solution is already posted, I'm not going to repeat it. I want people to learn.

When i download Abyss and start up mabi I get all the way to the secondary pw and when i click eneter it just says "Logging in" and eventually is says "Mabinogi has stopped working" or it just sits there for a long time and closes. In my patch log it gives me my username and beside it, it says "Undefined" at the very end other than that it looks normal. I can use Tiara but not Abyss, i've been having this problem since last June.

When I download Abyss, Mabinogi refuses to start up. I'd have to restart the Nexon Launcher in order for it to work.

To clarify: First time Nexon Launcher starts up and I click play, it works. After I close it and start up Mabinogi again, it just crashes. No error, not even a "Mabinogi has stopped working." the window doesn't even pop up. Nor does the hacksheild loader.

Just thought you could look into this since Nexon Launcher is a new thing.
