I actually couldn't find that function. I went back two functions and found a CALL then found it in the new Client and it was something totally different. I probably did something wrong, I have no idea.

You mean like coming to a thread where someone posts about fixing something a lot of people use and demanding they do an update for something that's open sourced and not to do with the current thread?

Can anyone confirm if direct laucher is still working? The mods are still on if I open mabi.exe, but if i open direct launcher nothing comes up

Might be a problem if you have more than one installation. Shouldn't be a problem if you put it in the same folder of Mabi you're trying to launch from though. It gets the path to Mabi by checking the current directory, and if that fails it goes by the registry.

The only problem im having at this point in time, is the fact that i cant use abyss because of the new abilities. Every time it loads up it crashes my client if i pick a character who has any of the newer abilities. Not sure if this is a me problem, and its my own fault for being unable to figure it out, or if its a lack of an update?

it's most likely a lack in updating the data folder or damaged .pack file, but i would also delete the contents inside /my documents/mabinogi/cache/

i don't know of any new or specific mod in abyss to affect only characters with new skills.

Ah yes, thats the second time that data folder has made a fool of me. Ill have to remember that for next time. Thank you again, Shaggy.

I'm not sure what broke but as of 11/20/2013, Mabinogi won't reach the 2nd password screen with abyss. I guess something in the Fashinogi Bingo event broke something.

I disabled any of the mods I could find in there in hopes that it would fix but after numerous attempts I still can't get to the 2nd password screen.

Mostly, We would like to see the log, instead of the ini
and what kind of crash is it? Does it completely crashes or does it freeze infidently?

There's no crash, it just says "logging in" forever. and never advances to the 2nd password screen.
I can hit escape and cancel the login, it will ask if i want to exit the game. I click no and i can try and log in again.

That's weird..it doesn't even time you out if you connect for too long?
Also, have you done the basics? (Like disabling the Data folder or Running on the client clean)?

I have.

Mabi wont get to 2nd password screen with the datafolder disabled in the ini file.

I had to completely remove Abyss to get mabinogi to log me in.

I'm playing the game right now with a clean client.

There's probably something that's not letting Crackshield connect to the internet.
Maybe check your firewall or AV

I doubt its the firewall.

Unless the Fashinogi Bingo patch broke something.

It was working perfectly fine before that patch.

sorry I guess I should have given a bit more info.

Using the latest version of Abyss. I even reinstalled minutes ago from the link on the first page.
I'm using Windows Vista Business 64bit.

I tried the same download on my Windows 7 64bit machine. Abyss worked flawlessly.

This seems to be a problem only I am having or a problem specific to Vista users.

Is anyone else having issues with the MabiDirectLaunch multi launcher thing? It worked earlier today and now it SAYS Mabi is launched but no client ever opens up. Help?

Yeah Frontend launcher, Tiara's MabiLauncher, and the MabiDirectLaunch I usually use from this Abyss thread are ALL not launching the game. What did I break? x_x

I have also tried uninstalling and re-installing the client. When I tried to launch it gave me an "Oops! That shouldn't have occurred." I put the mods back in and the error message went away but it went straight back to not opening the client.

This is all I'm getting and sometimes I don't even get that (when all the mods are on/installed)

umm hi my friend installed abyss on my computer for me and i was wanting to remove it to play without the mods and i tried removing abyss.ini, dinput8.dll, hslaunch.exe, abyss_patchlog.txt, and i renamed the ijl15.dat to ijl15.dll and the game still wont open. i think that is everything the intro post said to do?

am i missing something???

oops that wasnt supposed to happen! help us prevent this from happening again by clicking send

it doesnt say anything else it just starts to open the game with the hackshield thing in the corner and after the car loads all the way instead of going to a log in screen it just goes to to that every time

yeah i renamed the .dat to .dll but the game is still treating it like i am running mods

The only thing I can recommend is grabbing the clean ijl15.dll from the first post or reinstalling Mabi.
