@ChMorto1 turn off your anti-virus, that should work. Avast detected Cracksheild as a virus, so I just turned it off when starting it up.

I redownloaded multiple times, even had my friend send it over skype, my computer just won't open or save it anywhere on the computer, it automatically deletes.

EDIT: I restarted my computer so I tried moving it to my desktop, but now this happens if I try to get it off

If automatically deletes, your antivirus is doing it.

Like I said I don't have any AVs and it won't delete, I tried deleting it, and it won't save anywhere, it's this specific file, everything else works fine

What ever it is, It's a program that is tampering with the file.

I recommend you take a screenshot of your Process tab on Task Manager

As for the issue, i don't know if this'll work but you can at least attempt.
I believe when you download the files, they are in a .rar, and your needed file is there still.  Boot in safe mode then try extracting files in safe mode.

Chrome is supposed to have multiple processes open.
Chrome is designed to run everything in a separate process so that when something crashes, everything else stays.
Instead of jamming the entire browser into one process and crashing the entire browser.
When something crashes on Chrome, only that one thing crashes, only that one tab crashes, only that plugin crashes, because every process is separate.

This one time I believe it was to r169 or r168 cant remember but I updated Abyss and it worked fine, then I went to update Tiara and Abyss screwed up, When i run the client with crackshield active, the client simply wont open, my Abyss_patchlog is saved and the client doesnt open, the patchlog gets to "Finished applying unpack detection hooks." and thats it, i formatted my pc, reinstalled mabi, updated abyss and Abyss worked until i went to update 1 data mod ran mabi and same problem happened, the client doesntopen, please help.

Your description leads me to believe it's a mod.  Move data folder out of the Mabinogi directory, and if you use any other mod reading method, make sure to disable it.
Run Mabi without abyss and see if it works, then try with abyss.  You need to read the first post if you need to know how to remove abyss.  If it still works, try adding the data folder mods.  If it breaks at that point, you've narrowed the problem to the data folder.  So it'll likely be an XML file without data, and likely it's within the db folder too.


If it's not mod related problem, and you crash with no mods, then go to my documents/mabinogi/report error and find the most recent .txt file in there and open it.  The source of the problem will probably be within the last few lines of that file.

you should have a Abyss_patchlog.txt in the mabinogi directory, and if you've been banned you can't really tell; the client.exe will close without an error and you will need to give your character or account name to blade in PM to verify. (can't remember which)
