Well to be honest my .dat files are defaulted to run with media players, and I've never set it to be opened with media players O_o

This is what CANNOT be in your Mabinogi folder.

• dinput8.dll

After you delete those, just pop in a clean ijl15.dll and you're set.

do you have any other mods, say a data folder with data packer.exe or custom .pack files in the package folder?

I did but i took them all out, re-installed the game, and tried to run a completely clean client but it still gave me an error message before the Pleione engine could finish loading.

So you uninstalled Mabinogi, deleted all the files associated with it all extra folders containing info like in your mygames folder; and after all that you then deleted all registry keys pertaining to Mabinogi- restarted your computer and reinstalled mabinogi?

That doesn't sound right at all, it might be driver malfunctions or your antivirus blocking something form it without you knowing :U. What you might have to do is make sure all your drivers are up to date .net frameworks your C++ redist is up to date stuff like that.

Edit* Did you also delete the Mabinogi(or the cache folder in there) folder in your Documents folder? i know when i delete those files most of my crashing problems poof for what ever reason.

I went through my registry keys again and found another Mabinogi folder that had tiara files in it. I deleted that and I'll see how it works out

Don't know your OS, but you might check to make sure it's not the issue Win XP had.  Look for msxspirit.dls in mabinogi/mp3 and move that file out to see if it fixes it.

After deleting the registry key and restarting my computer again, I was able to play but after installing tiara, the problem rose up again. Turns out the problem started with abyss acting up but tiara sill had the problem afterwards. I'll just play clean for the time being.
