Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

Also, make abyss compababile with Japan Clients :C They freeze at Applying unpack detection hooks..
Try using the delay instead, then?

It's been removed since it was proven not working.

If hslaunch.exe is being deleted, it's your AV.

Some crappy AVs like Norton and Mcafee and such WILL find and delete files without even telling you that they did it.
Seems to be the case this time around (even though it's been put on the exceptions list who knows how many times), but now, I can't even put the HSLaunch.exe back into C:\Nexon\Mabinogi folder, saying that the folder itself has been turned into Read-Only and even with administration status, still says I don't have permission to put the file in. Weird thing is that it is only happening to the HSLaunch.exe file. The other files, including DataPacker and MabiUnPacker, can be moved about freely, but not HSLaunch.

BTW, I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate if that has anything to do with this...

SO I was looking through old school MabiMods (http://faucet.kgptzac.info/) and some other old school versions of Abyss and one of the things I noticed in Nogiparty? Was able to attack mimics while they're close/hidden/whatever you like to call it. Would this still be possible xD?

I'm getting a bit of a migraine from font issues. As we all know by now, vector fonts like BusAccident! and Mabi's default font are very laggy when you have stuff like the character window or the message log loading up, and using bitmap fonts fixes that little issue. My problem is that I can't stand the bitmap fonts available to me. Frontend offers three different bitmap fonts, one of which is way too small and just bugs me in general, a bold version which is almost unreadable, and "Fritz Quadrata", which is a little bit better than the others but is still blurry and occasionally runs into itself. Sticking with the default font and enabling bitmaps with Abyss just turns it into the first bitmap font from Frontend.

I've tried adding in a font manually (specifically Free Pixel renamed to "alphanumeric.ttf" in data/gfx/font), but when packed it acts as if I did nothing. Loading the game presents the default font, and enabling bitmaps before or after loading the client just changes it to the same old bitmap font from Frontend.

Frankly, I like Mabi's default font. I just hate the way it lags. Is there something I can do to get a readable font that doesn't lag up, or am I just screwed?

(For the record, I figured it was okay to post this here because Abyss not letting me use my own fonts is pretty much the issue here)

Edit: Oh, another note. I don't know if this is intentional, but enabling the bitmap positioning fix also enables the bitmap fonts themselves... So if you turn that on, but leave bitmap fonts off, you still get the bitmap font.

The font file mabi uses changed a bit back, make sure you're using the new filename and such (it's not alphanumeric.ttf, it's naumbagothicwhateverthehell.ttf).

That's weird.. Frontend is using alphanumeric, and that mod still works.

Hm, am I the only one getting "Server cannot be reached" when I try to login from a second client? I mean, the mod that lets me load a second client works fine and all... But it seems that when I have a second client up, the second client cannot reach the server even if the first client has not even logged in yet and was just launched.

Throwing out something random here because I don't fully know the error, but do you think it can possibly be related to the DEP?

It's not having the correct folder arguments passed to it. Is it in your Mabi folder, and if so, are you using more than 1 Mabi folder?
E = mc² actually stands for Enjoyment = (Modifying the Client)². The more Mods you have, the Enjoyment increases exponentially.

My question is confirmed for stupid now. :3 I was accidentally using an old Launch Client shortcut so it tried to contact the old servers, an updated shortcut worked though~

I used to have this very issue when using the client on a Win serv 2008 machine, but it was only if you closed it via the Close button on the GUI. Ending it via the chat at the bottom of the screen was fine.
I couldn't run Abyss on that OS, due to crackshield.

So, I'd blame the OS there.

I think I recall messaging you about it, Blade?

I cannot get the game to launch now with Abyss. I always get a hackshield error since the new patch. Is Abyss not usable at this point or is there some way of updating it that I am just ignorant of?
