your ram and cpu should be more then enough, but it could be your graphics card? you could try removing the character select screen textures to reduce the lag, the only time i lag when opening mabi is on the intro generation movies (that play once), but that's probably just an outdated codec.

I honestly haven't tried that. My GFX is the Intel HD graphics(Pentium).

my total amount is about 1500 left over, I have about 1800 MBs total.

Your GFX sounds fine them.

Hmm...Since it's to the point where the character screen is freezing you. I know for the fact that it's trying to load the cahce. Try deleting all the files on the cahce folder on My documents\Mabinogi

Just a note, I ran a few months on 64mb integrated, and while it ran meh at best, it ran.

Btw shaggy, that siggy belongs to very good book series.
what ever was in the cache was corrupted beyond deleting just the files.
64 MB is most likely your dedicated. Your system RAM is still used.

I think I am running it correctly but I cant get the client to come up. It just doesn't pop up when I run it. The patch log shows it running correctly.

Apparently I either got something when my wife was on this, or the My Documents Mabi folder got completely fuckwashed. It gives an error saying the dir is not empty. a 0x08****** error code. Tried looking at last night to only find items on youtube and forums promoting software. Dear god I wanna kill someone.

The files has been corrupted to the point where you are unable to delete these files.

Attempt a chkdsk /f .

Yeah, it says both files are up to date when I run autoup, I uninstalled my anti-virus just incase it was being stupid. I'll try and reinstall mabi again, I don't think I deleted the HSHiELD folder the first time.

I have;

1. Deleted Mabinogi
2. Deleted Vindictus
3. Cleared out my recycle bin
4. Ran a registry cleaner
5. Deleted all AhnLab registries by hand
6. Reinstalled Mabinogi
7. Opened, let it patch, started the game, allowed HShield to update, closed
8. Ran Autoup.exe
9. Placed Crackshield & Dinput8.dll in the mabi folder, ran crackshield.

Same error.
