Oh O: Didn't know that.. I just read that the "we still do not know what blackcipher does" on the first post So I'd figure that I'd share my limited knowledge of it x3... but umm.. wanna enrich me on more info on this? O: What does it log exactly.

To add to this, it hasn't actually logged anything of merit, yet. Locally, at least.

atm it's safe to assume it doesn't matter much; because it wasn't that efficient and because of the mods you will find on mabimods mostly work locally.

Does not seem like you can turn off "Default Range Swap" and "Control Day Time" when in-game. You can click it, but it does nothing; when you view it again in the menu, it's still selected to what it was before. Not sure about the other "off" options.

There's also 2 item price mods, one that's displayed with the ID, color, etc, and one that displays at the bottom of the item information.

Also, may I request an option to disable the CP rating ("weak", "weakest", etc) in the name when the CP viewer is on?

try running C:\Nexon\Mabinogi\HShield\HSUpdate.exe and then crackshield

Old news. Disable one of them. Options are nice.

Hmm, we were planning on making those messages customizable, so you would be able to remove them. This will probably be introduced in the future.

That is a driver initialization error. Commonly, this means that an AntiVirus program is preventing HackShield's rootkit from working. Add CrackShield or EHSvc (I'm unsure which) to your AV's whitelist.

ya that seams to be what was causing it, it was running it sandbox mode, comodo well running in game mode apparintly dosen't show the "allow this file to run?" messege when playing in that, i had it on always allow, but i guess one of the recant updates kinda wiped it...

i think there are a few things in features.xml.compiled to change the character select screen, but i can't give you the program...its located in the same place this is though http://mabimods.net/index.php?topic=13406.msg216251#msg216251

you could also remove it like http://mabimods.net/index.php?topic=14202.0
 
but those methods are not as fast or customizable as it is with patchers.

The reason we didn't port it was because it was broken and it's a very complex mod.

It may reappear eventually. There are different things I would rather work on, though.

I think you can do it with file modification, but I have never tried, and do not know the specifics.

Having a minor issue. Not sure if it is because of abyss, or maybe something didnt update properly? Anyway, ive had blank spots for the sandcastle event items, where no item is shown. Furthermore, When i collected a box from the event, my client crashed, and as of now, i can no longer load it. (When the loading bar fills it crashes, leaving me to assume an item my client doesnt recognize was obtained from the box) Im unsure how to go about fixing this, as ive already tried updating abyss via re dl. Any ideas?

[Edit] The uninstallation of Abyss fixed the login issue, However, the reinstallation reinstates the crashing.

remove your other mods; like the outdated ones in your data folder.

Abyss is the only one i use. I just the CP feature. Not much else.

then an update failed and one or more of your .pack files are damaged to cause graphicals errors and you will need to reinstall mabinogi.

I appreciate the help sir, but as i stated, the all of the above issues (the missing pictures, AND the crashing) stops completely when i uninstalled abyss. So i think ill revert to playing clean for a while. Thank you!

actually what you stated above was just that removing abyss fixed the login issue, btw abyss won't affect the graphics being missing or invisible unless you have a data folder that is interfering and abyss.ini has DataFolder=1 on, but feel free to play clean for awhile.

It is a bad data folder, not packs. That's absolutely the only way Abyss can cause that.

Well, removing abyss also fixed the missing item visuals too. and when i reapplyed it, both returned. I understand what your saying, however. So how would i go about fixing this issue?

If so, move it out of there.

Much appreciated. Deleting hte data folder fixed both issues. I appreciate everyones help. Im clueless on this stuff, as ive only just started using such mods. Ive always though mods were overrated. As shown, i was evidently wrong.

I get something similar.. but it's a code 206, not 204. Fresh client, updated HS.

and you had crackshield and mabinogi closed while running \HShield\Update\autoup.exe or any other program that may have been reading or writing to hs or mabinogi at the time?, cause that error only happens when hs isn't updated/couldn't update or one of hackshield's files is currently being written to or readen, redden, read'n, readin' from..., or multi-clienting without a bypass (ie an hs file is being used and is detected), probably wouldn't hurt to disable your anti virus programs also just in case they are scanning or blacklisting.

Yeah, it says both files are up to date when I run autoup, I uninstalled my anti-virus just incase it was being stupid. I'll try and reinstall mabi again, I don't think I deleted the HSHiELD folder the first time.

Been having this issue for a good while now.  Thought a fresh set of eyes might shed insight on my issue.
Currently only have abyss installed.
Now I login, either via web launch or diect launch. 
Type ny info into the screen, allow abyss to input my secondary.
Mabi then locks, about 30 minutes later changes the background music to the character selection screen, but stays there.
Currently no one on NX Forums can actually answer me with something useful.

My current RAM and CPU usage is 1.7 GB out of 3 GB with at most 47% of my Dual Core Intel P6100 @ 2.2GHz being taken.
Here is what I have done:
Reset default Reg values
Removed abyss
Reinstalled
Used Frontend Launcher
I will put a spoiler into here for my log of Abyss.
I have even ended tasks that are un needed
I have even updated all components important to running.
