Hmm I did quite noticed that in system32 folder dsound.dll is recognized as directsound though this is only because I was looking around, dunno if this was there before. Though it's just my lack of knowledge that it could be what lead to my muted sounds? But why it didn't work launch any mods is still out of my knowledge. I am willing to have a skype screen share if any mods could help me on this.
And that's just a hunch I don't know if it was there before since this was my first time checking it.

dsound is supposed to be there. I wouldn't suggest messing with the dlls in the sys32 folders, as those are stocks.

dsound.dll is a system file that abyss proxies to from the mabinogi folder. all patchers are proxy dll's or something you'd have to inject yourself... proxies are just so much easier to do

That's what I've been trying to do, I try to use different injectors all of them detects and successfully injected the .dll but when I log in nothing shows up and my sounds are still muted. o-o

it's all in timing... all that fun stuff... that's why the proxy is the most commonly used method

you can make multiple files of the same name, in different locations.  As long as you tell the dll in code to export it to the right location.  And note, d3d9 isnt stock.

It's one of my favorite mods. After dicking around with ASM on old patch files. I managed to recreate this old mod.

I feel like an idiot asking this, but where is the multiclient? Did it come with the Abyss.rar download or do I get it somewhere else?  In the first post he said that a multiclient was "uploaded below" but I can't find anything.... I don't know if I'm just crazy or clueless.  Most likely the latter.

Before anyone asks, I did a search but I can't see anything related to a multiclient download.  The end two sentences of the previous paragraph apply here as well.

k I fixed my problem, I had to uninstall and reinstall while deleting the whole folder. I guess something in the old folder was causing the muting and disable of Abyss now it's working fine.

Just wondering, but did you install your sound driver before or after you reinstalled mabi?

Before. I tried switching drivers to make Mabi work but it didn't. So I uninstall all my mods, uninstall Mabinogi, delete the folders, and then reinstall Mabi. When it worked fine, I installed both Tiara and Abyss and now there's not problem running them. I guess there was an outdated file somewhere that prevented the sounds and Abyss from working to begin with.
Btw the old folder before reinstall was from my backup folder in my old pc. I'm fortunate enough to own the cd for Mabi so it's less of a hassle to reinstall.
So this could be one of the possible ways to fix the error for those that have it similar to mine, tedious but it does work.(Maybe if you delete only a few certain files and get a repatch might just work also.)

The flaw is that 1. Links have white text, 2. Spoilers have a little box. Anyone with half a brain knows to skim for links and spoiler boxes. Is there a smarter method? Like put the link somewhere within a block of text in URL format, so there's no white text :3 Or make the entire paragraph white.

So I purchased these new dolls bags and occasionally when I desummon them I disconnect. I'm not sure whether or not this is due to Abyss. This problem doesn't occur with any of my modless friends and I know the two friends who have experienced this problem also use abyss. Has anyone who purchased them also experienced this problem?
