Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

Order of part importation for pmg editing
« on: February 19, 2012, 11:29:58 am »
So i recently started messing around with pmg editing and there has been times when i remove all the parts then readd them and import the new parts from another pmg but certain parts of the pmg will be cut off.
is there a certain order of importation of the parts that I need to do, inorder to get it working correctly ?
if so care to help out and post it ? certain pmg have different orders of there parts like the chest might come after the leg and arms while in others it comes right after the body.

Well, remember if they are in the same folder, put PMG1's folder in first, put the PMG2's parts of that folder in then go to the next folder. Also, rename PMG2's parts to work. Example, you have a part in the head folder from PMG1 with the value of part 0. Lets say that's a goggle cap's hat. Likewise a goggle cap's goggles would be part 1. If you then import bunny ears and don't rename the parts, it would also be part 0. The bunny part would overlook the hat part causing it to look like just goggles and ears in the game. What you need to do is rename the bunny part to part 2, etc.

Also, there's generally only one order to import parts, at least from what I've seen.

Double check the part numbers so that none overlap and make sure you imported the sequence right.
Don't import based on clothing (like all of this first, then that), import based on the list below:
body -> chest -> leg1l -> leg1r -> leg2l -> leg2r -> head -> claviclel -> clavicler -> footl -> footr -> arm1l -> arm1r -> arm2l -> arm2r -> uncover -> handl -> handr  -> cover

Then try again?

Most helpful single bit of information I've found with this issue. Noonehere was very helpful walking me through some of my issues.

thanks alot !! also i discovered that another problem i had was the order of importing part within the same category.   you need to upload the other arts for that specific category before the ones of the pmg your editing and avoid overlapping since that will make part of them invisible as well.

Going to write an official tutorial for pmg editor after on since there is no real on currently, will also include a video example, if possible, and a translation of the pmg color editor since no 1 has been willing to help with that either ...

There actually is several guides on PMG editing. Also, there is a translation of the PMG color editor I had but I can't find it at the minute. I believe it is posted on another forum though.

Edit: Found it.

I personally never really bothered with the pmg color editor. I've been fine with just changing where the pmg draws its color from within the actual pmg editor.

(Which I got working again, yay~!)

lol well thats somewhat understandable but i was referring to the things you mark as "Not needed, Leave alone",  those actually allow you to select the color of your other items like redirect the shoes color to that of the hat, gloves or armor your wearing. So you do kind of need those. Though you do have a basic tutorial.  I was looking for a drop down list translation.

That's what I was talking about in my post. You can do redirections like that in the pmg editor. You just have to know what the area you want to redirect it to is named as. For example the first dyeable slot on a head piece, "h1". Or you can redirect things to say, your eye color, "eye".

c (clothes)
h(hats)
s(shoes)

not sure on the rest though for redirecting the colors in pmg editor.  waiting on a friend to translate the rest of pmg color editor right now though =3
